Shortly after I killed Dr. Collymore, Me and Blaze heard footsteps right outside of the door in Blaze's apartment. There was no one else living in this complex, so me and Blaze were startled by this. But there was really only one thing it could be...The police. Me and Blaze immediately climbed out of the window after we got some food and water out of the fridge and put it in a bag. A couple of seconds after we climbed out of the apartment building, we heard a loud crash in the room, it was a battering ram.

We tried to go around the building to get our car, but they had completely surrounded the building. We could hear voices inside the building from the open window.

"They went through the window!" I heard one say. I guess Blaze heard it too, because we both took it as our que to get out of there as quickly as possible. It was daytime too, so we couldn't sneak around them under the cover of night. The sound of a helicopter closed in on us.

"Blaze, We have got to get out of here!" I yelled, we were both now in a full on sprint. Me and Blaze tried to run and cover more ground by going through allies and through the inside of buildings. Eventually, we went down the street to our right, and The chopper and all of the cops went left.

"Marcus, do you think you could lift that Manhole cover?" Blaze asked, frantically. I could only fit 2 fingers in the small space that people had to use crowbars to open them. I lifted up as hard as I could and the manhole cover flipped over onto the concrete. Me and Blaze climbed down as fast as we could. Blaze went first, and I pulled the cover back on top of the hole to cover our tracks. Me and Blaze both gagged and put our arms over our noses. We crept through green and brown sewage water. The sounds of police sirens could be heard above, so we tried to go the opposite direction of them. The sewage water scent ate through our clothes and we could still smell it. It was also pitch black in the tunnels, so Blaze turned on his flashlight on his phone and I grabbed onto the back of his shirt.

Together, we walked for what seemed like hours. We finally found a ladder that led back up to the surface. I went up first, since I was the only one that could lift the Manhole cover.

"Make sure there are no cops outside." Blaze whispered. I slightly lifted the manhole up and peeked out. People were walking down the streets, everything seemed normal.

     "I don't see any police."

"Hey mate, how are we going to get out of here without someone calling the cops on us?" Blaze asked.

"We could act like we were working down there, you already have orange on." I suggested. Blaze nodded and I slowly lifted the cover. The light nearly blinded me, my forehead began to hurt. I climbed out and helped Blaze get up the ladder, he was holding his phone with his mouth. Blaze stood to his feet on the road and I put the manhole cover back in its place. I turned around and fully expected everyone to be staring at us, ready to call 911. But I soon realized that no one had stopped. Everyone just kept walking. I guess that two people coming out of the sewers was not the strangest thing they had ever seen.

Me and Blaze began walking to the side-walk followed by a bunch of beeping horns telling us to get off of the road. People were pinching their noses in disgust because of the stench of sewage that followed closely behind us. We didn't run, that would make us look even more suspicious. We quickly walked until the amount of people began to thin out. Eventually, we found an old abandoned steel factory, that was for some reason, far away from all of the other buildings in the city.

I looked over at Blaze and he nodded at me, telling me that he was thinking the same thing. We begin to jog over to the entry of the building. The whole thing looked as if it was about to collapse with one cough or sneeze. I turned on my flashlight on my phone and began looking for a hiding place that could fit both of us.

"Oi, Marcus, over here!" Blaze whispered. I walk over to him and he is standing over a rug in one of the corners of the factory. You would think a rug in an abandoned steel factory would stick out, but the dust that had settled on it had camouflaged it. Blaze reached down and pulled it towards him. He revealed a hidden trap door that had a metal handle screwed to it.

"Alright mate, lets hide down here!" Blaze lifted the trap door and dust flew everywhere, making it hard to breathe. I went down first and flashed the light around trying to see how big the space was. Blaze lifted the carpet over the door and closed it back. The space was just big enough for me and Blaze to both fit down there. The floor was wood, but there was a blanket folded up into a rectangle, like someone had been sleeping on it.

Just after we shut the door, we heard police sirens approaching the factory, followed by the slamming of car doors and radio screeches. We could see red and Blue lightly flashing through the cracks in the floorboards.

"Do you think they're in here?" I heard a voice say.

"Probably, If not, they are probably in that mall about two blocks from here." I gasped because I recognized that voice. It was undoubtedly my mother, who was probably looking for me since I hadn't come home in a while. I don't think I had realized just how much I had missed my mom. I wanted to burst out of the floorboards and hug her. Tears began running down my face, Because I knew that it wasn't an option, Me and Blaze had to finish what we started. I felt Blaze's hand touch my shoulder, comforting me a little. I don't see how he even knew I was crying because It was really dark down there.

After a little bit of quiet footsteps and whispering from my mom and the police officer she was with, we heard the engines of the squad cars start up again and leave. Me and Blaze waited for about ten minutes, just in case they were pretending to leave or something. But we finally just slightly opened the trap door and peaked our heads out. It was extremely quiet, except for the distant city ambience.

"Was that your mom, man?" Blaze asked.

"Yeah... Yeah, it was." I wiped the tears from my eyes and Blaze put his hand back on my shoulder.

"Listen Marcus, we are so close to being done with all of this. Just hang in there mate." He said reassuringly.
