I just finished loading a suitcase full of essentials, such as food, clothing, blankets, etc. Two suitcases was all we could carry, so I had to cram it all in. Just as I finished, Nathan walked in the door. "Hey, babe!" He chimed. I gave him a confused look. "Babe?" I asked. He blushed, "Oh I j-just t-t-thought that m-maybe we-" I cut him off with a kiss. "It's okay, babe." I whispered in his ear. He grinned, and went over to the suitcases. "Is this all we need?" He asked. I nodded. "Ready for a road trip!" I said.
We ate the biggest supper of our entire lives that night. I was definitely not going to starve, that's for sure. Mashed potatoes, steak, corn, gravy, vegetables, fruit, bread rolls, and anything else imaginable filled the table. I felt like I was going to explode. We slept for hours, and ate a big break fast, too. I was now positive I was gonna explode now. After showering, we got ready to go, and I stood at the door. "Ready?" He asked. I nodded, and after saying "goodbye" to the house, we grabbed the keys, and walked outside of the small house.
We caught a ride all the way to the edge of town, and began our journey. After about a mile of walking, he turned to me. "Ever thought about kids?" He asked randomly. "Um... No, not really. As I said before, boys aren't usually interested in me." I said. "You're the prettiest girl in the world. If we were old enough, I'd have a thousand kids with you." He said. "Yeah, I'm gonna have to stop you right there...." I said awkwardly. He blushed again, making his cheeks turn a rose color, and we continued a while without a word.
Finally, after about 5 miles, we found spot to sleep. The sun was just setting, and I pulled the tent out of the suitcase. "Help me set this up!" I said, struggling. He came over and set it up without a problem. I rolled my eyes, and sighed. Pulling the blankets into the tent, we closed the zipper. It was a tight fit, considering me had blankets, two people, two suitcases, and plenty of pillows inside the one tent. I fell asleep almost instantly, but not before giving Nathan a good night kiss and a good night hug. "Love you.."
We woke up to birds chirping loudly outside the tent. I rolled over, to find a snoring, drool covered Nathan. It was adorable. I pulled out my phone and snapped a picture. "Huh.. WHAT? MOMMY?!" He screamed out. I chuckled, realizing he had a bad dream. "Nate... Nate wake up!" I said, pushing on his sides. Poking him in the face. Tickling his sides. All these attempts, until he finally awoke. "ugghnnn.." He groaned. I smiled. I can't believe I'll be waking up to this face every morning. At least until I can make it back home. To see my family.
