We have arrived at Nationals and are missing Jett, but we planned on face timing in the evening. The group face timing Jett are myself, Xander, Antony and Dylan.
Also the rooms are set out as: Nick. Kenzie and Richelle. Ozzy and Izzy. Ebby and Dylan. Ethan and Pete. Xander, Antony and Heath. Jude and myself.
"Ok. Solo categories first." Kenzie tells us as we walk in. "I'm going to go sign in. You all look around." She then walks off.
We all walk together us girls and Izzy in the front, the boys in the middle and Heath, Ozzy, Nick and Richelle in the back when we get to a schedule.
"Whoa. This schedule is intense." Ethan says.
Day 1: Choreographers' Breakout Session- 09:00 until 11:00, Nationals Solo Competition- 11:00 until 16:00, Lyrical Workshop- 16:00 until 17:00, Large Group Preliminary Round- 17:00 until 20:00, and Nationals Mixer 20:00 until 22:00.
Day 2: Pro Division Check-in 09:00 until 10:00, Tutting Workshop- 10:00 until 11:00, Hypedin Video Challenge Presentation- 11:00 until 12:00, Jazz Workshop- 12:00 until 13:00, Tutting Workshop- 13:00 until 14:00, Special Guest Appearance!- 14:00 until 15:00 , Salsa Workshop- 15:00 until 16:00, The Future of Dance Discussion- 16:00 until 18:00, Small Group Round- 18:00 until 20:00, and Corporate Partner Mixer- 20:00 until 22:00.
Day 3: Posodable Workshop- 09:00 until 10:00, Pop & Lock Workshop- 10:00 until 11:00, Swing Dance Workshop- 11:00 until 12:00, Legends Lunch- 12:00 until 13:00, Tap Dancing Workshop- 13:00 until 14:00, Acro Dance Workshop- 14:00 until 15:00, Pro Division Finals- 15:00 until 19:30, Semi Finals: Duet Round- 19:30 until 20:30, and Studio-Head Networking Night- 20:30 until 22:00.
Day 4: Life as A Pro Dancer Roundtable- 09:00 until 11:00, Corporate Partner Mixer- 11:00 until 12:00, Breakdance Workshop- 12:00 until 13:00, Starting a Studio- 13:00 until 14:00, Woacking Workshop- 14:00 until 15:00, Ballroom Workshop 15:00 until 16:00, Choreo Spotlight Formations 16:00 until 19:30, Finals: Large Group Final Round- 19:30 until 20:30, and Farewell Dinner 21:00 until 22:00
"It's just too bad Jett isn't here." Antony says and we all nod in agreement.
We then all take a group selfie myself between Ethan and Dylan and Jude just behind. Then we hear Maria and move behind Richelle. After that Lucien insults us and walks away.
Jude ends up walking Cleo by the stage and I stay with the team so we can call Jett.
"Hey guys!" Jett says answering the call.
"Hey, Jett we are missing you." Xander says grabbing the phone from Dylan.
"Hey my phone." I hear Dylan say.
"Xander is missing you the most." I say trying to jump to see Jett.
"No I'm not." Xander says.
"Don't deny it." Antony says.
"I miss you all too. Say hi to my brother guys." Jett says getting him to go over.
"Hello." He says.
"Hey." We all say.
"We have to go now." Dylan says.
"Are you going to watch?" Xander asks before we can hang up.
"Of course if my brother wants to." Jett says.
"Yeah." Her brother says.
"Alright, bye." She says.
"Bye." We all say and hang up.
We all are stretching and rehearsing the numbers, apart form Ebby who is panicking about her solo and I am trying not to stare at Heath. Trying does not mean succeeding.
As we are announced as first we all group up around Ebby and cheer for her. Ebby does an incredible Afro fusion solo that everybody cheers for as it is different. She also is using up all her space, just incredible. Ebby finishes and gets a massive cheer, this is starting to feel like we made it. Then Ultra Elite gets announce and nobody seems to be happy on the team. The audience all scream for Grace and make it harder for our confidence. I can see it in Xander and Antony's eyes and I think they can see it in mine. After the rest of the dances it is Cleo's turn. She's putting her heart and soul into the dance, you can just tell. The winner is announced for this round as...
"...Cleo from AcroNation." The voice announces. I am happy for her, I really am but I am sad for Ebby.
Ultra Elite are the first large group dance and they are all in sync, I am trying not to stare but I see my ex out there and am a little thrown off my game so I move back from watching. I hear they win a 94/100 which gives us no room for mistakes. After AcroNation's amazing dance they get a 90/100 but adding Cleo's extra 5 points they got 95/100. Finally it's us, I need to set aside the drama of going up against my ex and against Cleo and everything with Heath and pushing him away and focus on bringing 110%. We start our dance, it's a very steam punk dance with a giant clock on stage. We are really pulling out all of the stops here and are all in time with telling the story, most of this dance I am able to stay focused apart from the beginning and the end, where I am over thinking everything. We get a standing applause. We get a... 90/100. We get 15/20 in the top 20 teams.
We walk to our changing room when my ex comes over to me.
"Hey Dani can we talk?" She asks.
I look to Kenzie and she nods that I can but then Jude tries to grab me away.
"Yeah, sure Raye." I say and walk away, I can feel the whole team watching us.
"I would just like to say," She begins. "you sucked out there, you would have been so much better if we were still dating and dancing together, Dani leave them and come join Ultra Elite. You could use the training clearly the gap year you had made you terrible, we could help you at Ultra Elite."
"Really, that's all you wanted to say? You cheated on me Raye with Becky and all you have to say is you don't know why we broke up and critic my dancing then ask me to join you. No I am not leaving my team, you need to leave me alone." I say and walk over to Jude, who is now with Cleo.
"What did she want?" Jude asks and I just start crying so they hug me and I tell them what happened.
