"You can trust me." (The Next Step 8 x Oc) (Discontinued)

Defying Gravity, Part 1

We are sat on the bus on the way back.
"So, are we going to nail this." Heath asks.
"Of course we are, I think we still have just enough time to get there, get changed and perform, at least we have to hope." I say.

Heath and I run in just before we get announced, already in costume and with our props. 
"Uh! You spoke to soon." Kenzie says to somebody. 
"Yo!" Pete yells.
"Are we OK?" Kenzie asks. 
"Yeah." I respond for both of us.
"You look great. Are you ready to dance great?" Kenzie asks again. 
"Yeah." We say in sync and look at each other.
"Let's do it." Kenzie says. 
"Let's go, let's go." The team chants. 
"Ready?" I ask Heath and offer him my hand.
"Ready." He responds and grabs it in his. 

Heath: I've never been more ready for a dance in my life. 

We cut it close, but we made it back just in time. 

We then take the stage, letting go of each other's hands and putting our props down before starting the dance. 

Heath: I can't believe we almost missed this, but I'm glad we made it here together. All that's left is to go out there and kill this dance. 

We trust each other. We believe in each other. And we're ready for this. This dance is a battle between two warriors who are equally matched. Throughout the fight, they each get the upper hand, but battle back until it ends in a face-off. 

Everything is going exactly as we rehearsed it.

I feel amazing right now. I'm glad I took the risk to make things right with Heath and I, because this dance is just flowing out of us. 

Heath: What makes this dance special is the connection Dani and I have. 

The chemistry is off the charts with this dance. 

Heath: We've come such a long way. I really enjoy being on stage with her. 

And we're on fire right now. 

We finish and everybody is going wild right now. 

Heath: We gave it everything we got. 

I hope it was enough. 

"The score for The Next Step Duet is..." The voice reads off. "88." 
"But let's not forget about the five points that Richelle got from the Pro Division, which makes The Next Step score 93," Giselle says. "which means they tied." 
Heath and I hug each other. 

Heath: I didn't know Richelle got us that bonus. So we did it. We did it! 

"They have tied with Ultra Elite." Giselle says. 
Heath and I run off stage to our team and we all freak out.  
"Which means they are moving on to the final!" Giselle finishes. 

Heath: I never, ever thought this would happen. We're going to the finals. 

Jett comes running in as we are celebrating.
"Jett? You're back?" Xander asks. 
"I couldn't miss it." She tells us. 
We all cheer even more as it means we have a full team. Everybody is hugging and all that. 

We are all rehearsing for the final round, this is an all-or-nothing situation. I am glad I sorted out everything with Heath as we also have to partner for this dance too.
