Chapter 24

Elena's POV.

Serra was better now. She can move her arm and her head injury is also recovering.

Me and Jimmy were sitting beside her. And she was having fruits. Jimmy was giving her updates of college and i was lost in my thoughts. After that day i didn't saw Eric. And whenever i asked Matt he refuses. Ten days passed.

And in this ten days Chris has troubled me a lot. I don't like it whenever he tries to come close to me. I thought to talk to him but he looked really worried about Serra so i thought to postpone that idea but now i knew it was a bad idea.

"You should have seen her face. It was worth watching." Said Jimmy about Camille and Serra laughed.

"Where is Eric?" I asked Serra.

"He's busy in meetings and events. He took leave for ten days he must be coming today." She said and i nodded.

"Hello." I heard Chris's voice. And i cringed.

"Hello beautiful!" He kissed my cheeks and i prevent myself from rubbing my cheeks.

"Hiii." I forced a smile.

"It has been a month since we are in a relationship. Let's go on a date." He said and i wanted to refuse but how. Not infront of his sister.

"Wow a date!" She exclaimed with joy.

Ofcourse a month. I was in Maldives for two weeks then that exam and now I'm here taking care of Serra. In this whole month i tried my best not to be around him alone.

I didn't wanted to go. I wore my casual clothes like tank top and denim jeans. I wore my jacket over it as it was cold outside.

I braided my hair and applied some makeup. I head the beep sound and i went out saw him ready in a fine blazer. He looked good in it. But not good enough for me to fall.

This time he's got a limousine. I must say he's such a show off. I would have surely fallen for it but ofcourse I've seen better. Robert gave me all the luxury and comfort that i needed and even more. He took care of me like a kid.

We got seated and i got his call,"Hello."

"I'm back in Newyork Elena." I instantly got excited to meet him.

"That's great. I'll be home tonight." I said and asked about Alaric.

"He's good. He's busy in playing with Leo. And he likes Leo so much."

"Yeah i know." I hanged up and saw Chris.

He looked irritated,"Can't you just prioritise me before anyone." He asked and i said,"Just like you did when i needed you the most." He heaved in defeat.

"He's my brother. He's my family and he's coming back after two months from Maldives."

"I'm sorry." He said and the driver started the car. He immediately pressed the button which creates a partition between the driver and us.

"I'm sorry I'm feeling suffocated." I said and the partition was gone. I mentally heaved and adjusted my glasses.

I gripped my jacket in nervousness.

The ride was silent.

Finally we reached there and the first thing i saw was Matt.

He was talking to someone professional. Professional as in he was wearing a three suit Armaani and he looked really sophisticated. They shook hands and hugged each other. And the moment he turned my world turned upside down.
