Chapter 57

Elena's POV.

I heard his foot steps and i didn't turn to see when i already know it was him.

"Hello precious."

I heaved and continued to read when he snatched the book.

"Eric..." I said annoyed.

He lifted me up from my chair and put me down on bed.

"Let me see..." He said and started reading the book i was reading.

"What happened to your marks aren't you studying well?" He asked.

"None of your concern." I snatched my book and said,"now get out."

"Nope." He said and come closer.

"I loved you enough but you never considered it." He said and i felt hurt.

"I can't do anything if you're not ready to trust me." I said and he kept the book aside and he made me lie on the bed.

"Eric i don't want to sleep..." I said but instead of listening to me he lied beside me and interwined our fingers.

"You don't love me anymore then why this." I asked and his reply pierced my heart.

"I know but it's like my body needs you and i don't want to torture myself from staying away from you." He said and i was speechless. What should I say next.

I had no words to say.

"Jerk..." I said and he kept his leg on mine. He inhaled my smell and buried his face in my neck. I felt his lips touching against my neck.

He was looking at our interwined fingers. I don't know when i felt asleep in his arms but when i woke up he wasn't there.

I got ready for the college. I came out and wore my shoes. I saw a rabbit in the garden. I hold it in my arms and it had a tag in it's neck.

I know I'm late but
this is your eighteenth
birthday gift.

I was so happy. I kissed his head and let him roam in the garden. I noticed that in backyard my pony horse Alicia was tied.

I was missing Alex and Leo. I hope they're healthy and happy.

I called Robert and thanked him.

I was so tired. I immediately fell on bed when i reached home after college.

I heard the door bell rang. I opened my door only to find Alaric and Jennifer.

"He's insisting me to take him to you."

I took him in my arms and ask her to come in. He met my horse and rabbit and he got excited. He asked me about Leo and i said that we can't bring it here.

His face fell down.

I gave him his favourite icecream to cheer him up.

"Elena you live here alone?" She asked and i nodded.

"But why? Where is Robert?" She asked and i told her that he's out of town.

"You live just beside our house all alone. Why don't you come and stay with us until Robert come."

She suggested and i instantly refused saying Robert won't like it.

"Why would he mind? I've heard you've security issues because of Robert's weapon dealing business. That's why you have changed your name right?"
