Chapter 40

Eric's POV.

"One week isn't it! Fine." I said and my soul was already aching for Elena.

I'm missing her already.

"Let's see how much you love her." He said teasing me and my hand was aching for punching him.

He had lunch with us as bro was insisting him a lot. He left after that. And i started missing her. I hugged my pillow thinking about her. She's my home.

I went to gym and punched my sand bag thinking it as Matt. I'm so mad at him. He tricked me into this.

I thought to do some office work. I talked to Andrew and he told me about it. He asked me to complete some incomplete task.

It took me so much time to complete it and i slept then and there.

"Eric...get up." I heard some voice. It was Jennifer.

"Everyone is waiting for you. Come on have your dinner." She said but i told that I'm not hungry.

"Dad asked me to call you..." She said and i immediately stood up.

I instantly went downstairs and sat on chair.

Dad looked at me for some moment and said,"no manners you have. Sitting with everyone shirtless. You have been sleeping atleast you should have washed your face before coming downstairs." He said with authority and i stood up.

"Where are you going now?" He again asked.

"To wear my clothes." I said and he looked annoyed.

"Hellen did you see how careless he is..."

"Dad calm down. He was working with Andrew on some project he might be tired." said big bro and dad glared at me.

"Dad would you like to have some juice?" Jennifer asked diverting his attention.

She poured juice and everyone start eating. I was also having my food. I was hungry i realised.

"Eric don't you know about dining etiquette. Eat slowly..." I nodded and continued to eat with utmost manner. Dad likes to scold me so much.

I'm used to it now. Dad finished his food and get up.

I heaved when he left.

"Eric...you know about your dad. You should be punctual about his timings." Jennifer said and i nodded.

"Fruit salad..." I asked and She served me and i ate it till my tummy was full.

I was roaming back and forth trying not to think about her.

Matt!

This is all because of him. I wanted to call her but it will make my situation more worse.

My phone beeped and i saw Elena's message.

I was so desperate for her. I opened it and saw her text.

Missing you!

I texted back,"Not more than me."

She called me and i immediately picked up.

She was asking me that why I'm not seeing her these days.

"I'm busy..." I said cursing Matt in my mind.

"But...I wanted to..." She stopped making my heart beat faster. I started thinking what she was about to say.

"You wanted to?" I asked and she said that she wanted to see me.

"Just some days then I'll be free..."
