FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS all Hyerim did was try to convince the prison guards, to let her talk with Seonghwa...but they never listened. Hyerim was begining to grow frustrated; The Midnight were planning an attack and she had no idea when. Anxiety was also begining to settle in the pit of her stomach, because she had now way of knowing if Seonghwa was still alive or not.
But as for today...Hyerim remains silent, basically letting the anxiety of everything eat her up and let herself get lost in her thoughts. Well...that is until the sound of echoing footsteps walking toward her cell, snap her out of those anxious thoughts. Hyerim turns her head to the metal bars, gaze landing on guard and Seonghwa (who trailed behind him). Hyerim feels her heart stop for a moment upon seeing the prince "You're lucky that his highness wanted to speak with you. But, make it quick....you have ten minutes." The guard spoke, before finally leaving her and Seonghwa alone.
Silence fills the air as Hyerim tries to think of somtheing to say...but there was so many things that she wanted to say. "Seonghwa...I-" The prince breaths out a sigh "Just cut to the chase, Hyerim...please." He spoke. Hyerim takes notice of the hurt that still filled his eyes, she nods understanding where he's coming from "Ummm...Boreum had visited me a couple days ago." Hyerim starts and Seonghwa feels his chest tighten, the leader of The Midnight was here...in the palace and he had no idea. "What did she say?" Hyerim sighs as she fidget with her hands "She...she told me that she's planning an attack-" She swallows the lump in her throat before continuing "They're coming for you and your father...and they won't stop until you're both dead." Seonghwa remains silent, trying to soak in everyhting that Hyerim is telling him.
Another sigh leaves Hyerim's mouth as she steps closer to the metal bars "I know that you probably don't trust me anymore...but please just this once, tust me again and then when all of this is over you can throw me back in here." Once again Seonghwa remains silent as he thinks of what he should do. A part of him was hesitant to trust Hyerim again...afraid of facing heartache again, but the other part...maybe he still trusts her in some way; Seonghwa breaths out another sigh "Guards!" He calls. Suddenly Hyerim grows nervous as two guards take their places beside the prince "Let her out....we have an attack to prepare for."
Once again Boreum is located in the main area of headquarters, waiting for everyone to gather around. And, once everyone was gathered Boreum begins talking "I'm afraid there is no hope for Hyerim...she has truly betrayed us. So that is why tomorrow night we are going to end this once and for all." She anounces, people nod their heads in agreement. "Now...let us prepare...we have a kingdom to overthrow."
After discussing the plan with the Royal Council and army leaders, Hyerim is allowed to stay in her chambers once again...and oh how she missed it. But, for some reason couldn't shake the feeling of wanting to talk to Seonghwa. She had so many things she wanted to say to him, but Hyerim was probably the last person he wanted to see. So...why was she now standing outside his chambers. Hyerim knew she wouldn't be able to have a full nights rest, is she didn't say what she needed to say.
She rasies her arm to knock on the door, but she hesitates for a moment as doubts begin entering her mind. Hyerim breathes out a sigh, trying to push away those thoughts before finally knocking on the door.
A few mintues pass when a voice calls from the other side. Hyerim pushes the door open and her gaze immediatley lands on Seonghwa, who was sitting behind his desk....a pen in had, as he was focused on whatever he was writing and hadn't noticed Hyerim yet. Her heart pounds hard against her ribcage as she speaks "Seonghwa." The prince didn't need to look up to know who it was, his hand instantly stopped upon hearing her voice. "I know I'm the last person you want to see...but I...I just reaal needed to talk to you." Hyerim says, fingers fidgeting behind her back. Seonghwa doesn't say anything, he just sets the pen atop the desk and looks up at Hyerim...giving her his undivided attention and she suddenly grows nervous having his gaze on her.
She tries to advoid his gaze, but no matter where she looked...she could feel still his eyes on her. Hyerim takes a breath in and out (attempting to calm her pounding heart) before speaking again. "I know, I hurt you...I know, I lost all of your trust in me...but for any of its worth..." She swallows thickly "I'm sorry...I'm so sorry, Seonghwa." Hyerim finally says, feeling tears begining to well up in her eyes. "I-I may have lied why I came here, but I can tell you for certain....that every touch, every word...every kiss, I meant all of that." The prince feels his heart stop for a moment at her words...she looked so genuine and sincere.
Tears start to steadily roll down Hyerim's cheeks "God, Seonghwa...I-I love you..." Seonghwa's breathing catches at her sudden confession as he slowly rose from the chair "and honestky...I wouldn't change how I feel about you for the world." Hyerim continued as Seonghwa steps closer to her, until he's standing directly in fornt of her. He cups her cheek as his eyes gloss over with his own tears "Do you mean it?" Hyerim gives him a small smile, placing her hand atop his before saying "I meant every word."
And that is all the reassurance Seonghwa needs before leaning closer to Hyerim and meshing his lips with hers; moving them passionatley and loving...with underlying feelings of need. Hyerim immediately responds, matching the movment of his lips as her right hand goes grip onto his forearm, desperately needing to be closer to him. Seonghwa's other arm wraps around her waist, pulling her closer to him and holding her tight...as if he was afraid she would disappear. A few moments pass when Seonghwa pulls backs slightly "I absolutely adore you, Hyerim." He breathed.
