THE SUN WAS BEGINING TO SET IN THE KINGDOM OF KULAR and The Midnight were gathering in their base (in the main area...on the request of Boreum).
Boreum could still feel blood boiling after what Mingi had told her about Byerim. She couldn't believe that Hyerim -someone she basically raised and personally trained- would do something like this to her. Boreum's heart broke evertime she's think of all the things she has done for Hyerim....and she threw all of that away for the enemy. Boreum's hand clench into fists, more anger bubbling inside her.
"Boreum..." A voice spoke, snapping the older women out of her thoughts. She turns, gaze leanding on Aeri "Everyone has gathered." Boreum then turns to the crowd of The Midnight members, her eyes then land of San and her heart clenches...knowing how he felt toward Hyerim. "Thank you, Aeri." She says, before the younger women takes her place amongst the crowd.
Boreum clears her thoat, before finally speaking "You are all probably wondering why I called for this meeting- " She breaths out a sigh, before muttering the words "I never thought I would be saying this- Hyerim...Hyerim has betrayed us." Gasps erupt from the crowd, while San stands straighter....feeling as though he had all the air knocked out form his lungs. "Hyerim had let her emotion get in the way of the mission...she has fallen for the enemy; she is a traitor of The Midnight and she will be treated as such." Boreum says, as whispers of disscusion continued. "Now...we must take things in our own hands...so let us prepare. You are all dissmissed."
After that, everyone scatters and San finds himself walking toward the training room. But just as he is about to step through the doorway, a voice calling his name stops him. He turns around, gaze landing on Boreum. "I'm very sorry you had to find out about Hyerim this way." She says giving him a sympathic smile. San remains silent as a lump forms in his throat and his stomach begins to churn. "How would you like to finish what Hyerim couldn't?"
The moon is now high above Kular, Seonghwa and Hyerim lay peacefully asleep...well that is until movement coming from the bathroom wakes her. She flips over to her right, thinking that it was just Seonghwa....but it wasn't; the prince still lays asleep next to her. Hyerim's heart rate picks up as her hand slides underneth her pillow, gripping onto the dagger before getting out of bed (careful not to wake Seonghwa). She takes careful steps toward the bathroom, gripping her dagger tighter; preparing for the possible conflict about to unfold.
But as soon as she steps through the doorway, a dagger thrashes from the darkness...stopping mere centimeters from her neck. Her breathing hitches as the cold metal gently grazes the skin of her neck. Hyerim carefully looks down to the dagger and she instantly recongnizes who it belongs to; she turns to the right (to confirm her suspisions) and her eyes widen in shock. "S-San? What are you doing?" She questions, San's faical expressions soften "I'm sorry Hyerim...but you did this to yourself." He says but Hyerim grows confused by his words. "What do you mean?" She questions further, suddenly growing nervous to hear San's answer.
