She was an angel from heaven, and nobody could convince him otherwise. Her beauty reminded him of a white rose in the bush of red ones. The single flower in a field of only grass. The queen of the deck. Her beauty could not be rivaled, and anyone who tried to be prettier would never succeed. She was effortlessly gorgeous no matter what she did.

If she was crying, her tears looked like crystals glimmering in the sun. If she was asleep during a lesson, she looked as gentle as a mother's embrace. If she fell, she looked as graceful as a ballerina. Her voice was warm like the sun's rays, and he wished to hear it for the rest of his life. At morning, evening, night, 24/365. He craved to be held in her gentle embrace, or to have her fingers run through his ginger locks. Just the thought of such normal acts made his face flush red like the heart on his eye, body temperature rising.

"Ace? Care to share why you're staring at Akane while your as red as an amanita muscaria?" Blinking, Ace looked at the split-haired teacher, the crimson on his face deepening as everyone stared at him knowingly, some holding in their laughs as others snicker. At the mention of her name, Akane looked at divus, before back at the ginger. She giggled at him, eyes crinkling in genuine joy and amusement.

Ace felt like he could die happy at that moment.

"If I catch you again, you'll staring be at Crowley instead of Akane." Divus huffed, before returning to the lesson with a grumble.

Ace hid his flustered face in his hands, groaning in embarrassment. It felt like he was on fire, but he didn't know if it was because of the romantic thoughts running through his mind, or because he was just caught red handed. However, he assumed it was the first, as he didn't mind being caught if it meant he'd hear Akane's giggle. If he could, he'd loop it and listen to it forever. He would never be moody again. He wanted to be the reason she giggled. The reason she smiled so genuinely as the corners of her eyes crinkled, the reason she laughed so heavenly from a funny joke he told her. He wanted to be the reason she woke up every day.

He wanted to be hers as much as she would be his.
