Chapter 25

Mia slowly started to wake when she felt herself being moved, "Shhh, go back to sleep," a deep voice said as she was surrounded by warmth.

"She asleep, Silas?" another voice asked.

"Yeah," the deep voice that was holding her said softly.

"She fell asleep minutes after getting in the car," Axel said from behind Silas.

"Her room is set up," Gabe said coming down the stairs.

"Daddy?" She mumbled as she tried to wake up.

"Daddy's at work," Silas said shifting to hold her better. "Go back to sleep."

"Kay," She mumbled as she pressed her face into his chest some more. "Comfy."

"Okay, Angelos Mou," Silas chuckled as he carried her up the stairs. "Someone grab some of Owen's things for her."

"I already got it," Gabe said coming from Owen's room.

Silas stood by the bed and barely pulled her back, chuckling when she whined and tried to get closer to him. "Wake up just enough Angelos Mou to go change into your pajamas."

"No," she pouted.

"You need to change your clothes, Doll," Axel said coming into the room. "Wake up and go change. You are not ready for us to help you change your clothes."

"Bed," She pouted trying to lay down.

"Mia, go change your clothes then go to bed," Owen's voice said coming from Axel's phone.

"Daddy?" She asked opening her eyes.

"I know you are tired, but you need to change into your pajamas," he said softly. "Gabriel has my shirt for you to wear. I'll be home to lay with you as soon as I am done with these meetings."

"Okay," she pouted.

"Now be a good girl for the family."

"Yes Daddy."

"Sweet dreams, Darling. I love you."

"Love you, Daddy," she said rubbing her eyes.

"Come on, Little One," Silas said gently pulling her to the bathroom. "Can I call you that?"

"Yes," she mumbled as she yawned.

"Here you go," Gabe said handing her some clothes.

She took them and headed to the bathroom. Once she was done, she came out and whimpered. "What's wrong, Little One?" Silas asked as he pulled the comforter back.

"Want Daddy," She pouted.

"He'll be home from work soon," Silas said gently.

"No sleep lone," she shook her head.

"Do you want to go to the living room with us and wait for him?" Silas asked.

"Okay?" She asked yawning.

"It will be okay, I promise," He nodded. She twirled Owen's shirt and bit her lip. "Can I carry you down the stairs and we hold you while you wait for him?"

She smiled, "Please?"

"Okay," he smiled as he walked over to her. "Here we go," he picked her up and she laid her head in his neck. Gabe put Owen's blanket around them, and she sighed happily.

"Thank you," she whispered softly.

"You are very welcome," he smiled as he carried her out of the room.

"Everything okay?" Kota asked as they came into the living room.

"Yeah, Doll just didn't want to be alone while she waits for Owen to come home," Axel nodded.

"Okay," Kota nodded as he opened his book back up.

Silas sat down on the couch while Victor headed over to the piano and started playing soft music. Mia listened as the ones that were there talk softly as she slowly drifted back to sleep. She felt herself being moved around from time to time, but she just would drift back to sleep as each person held her.

"Shhh, Doc is sleeping in here," someone said as the front door slammed open.

"Sorry," North said as he came into the room. "Why isn't she in her room or Owen's?"

"She didn't want to be alone," Silas whispered. "So, we are holding her until Owen gets here."

"Okay, I'll go take a quick shower," North whispered as he took off to his room. When he came back into the room, he saw Raven holding her. "I'm surprised she's allowing this," he whispered as he sat down next to Silas.

"I am too but at the same time I'm not," Silas admitted. "I don't think she has really processed what happened but at the same time a small part of her has so she's okay with being with us right now while she waits for Owen. A part of her knows that she is safe with us until she can be with him."

"Glad she is opening up to us," North nodded. "It's a start." "Glad she is opening up to us," North nodded as Raven came over and placed her in North's lap so he could go take care of some things that he needed to do. "It's a start."
