She Saw So Many Things That She'd Never Been Witness To, Yet She Saw It As Though It Was A Live Feed Playing Inside Her Mind

In the year of 2130, the once green planet of earth; was now an empty shell of it's former self
No Green, no growth nor life... just death and decay.
The population had tripled in the last century, plus one more on the fateful day that brought so much joy to practicing botanist Ariana Socorro. She birthed a beautiful baby girl with luscious brown ringlets, skin softer than silk and piercingly blue eyes... unfortunately, the same eyes that belonged to her barbaric father.
Quinton grew up fast, too fast for Ariana's liking. The years seemingly flew by in a vicious blur and Quinn continued to grow and grow, as did her smile witch in turn brought happiness to Ariana in this, such a dark world they lived in... but Quinn wasn't quite like other children.
Why you may ask?
Quinton would have incredibly vivid dreams, she would wake up sometimes abruptly in the middle of the night and come barrelling into her mom's room down the hall and tell her she dreamt she was flying on the back of a dragon, or she drank water from a clear stream filled with little fish that glowed in the night.

But Ariana would always dismiss her, giving the good old fashioned "Oh that's nice Quinny, you better head on back to bed and you can tell me all about it in the morning" she'd say, sugar sweet in her half asleep state. Only for it to never be mention again on Ariana's part, but Quinn would never stop thinking about it. She kept stacks upon stacks of notebooks filled with drawings of what she saw in her dreams, each drawn in incredible detail.
Her father however, was not so caring toward his only child. He'd yell at her, scream until his voice was hoarse and Quinn was left in fits of tears and the occasional time; being left bloodied from a fresh beating. He'd claim that she was too old to be talking about babyish things and she had to grow out of this fantasy phase, he even went as far as to try and beat it out of her.
The older Quinn got the more vivid her dreams became, she never went to school since her mother couldn't afford it, thankfully Ariana had a teaching degree so she homeschooled her daughter.
Ariana was originally going to be accompanying her dear friend Grace when she was headed to Pandora, since Ariana was a gifted botanist... but, then Quinn came along and her chances of seeing the moon light years away from earth vanished before her very eyes.
The drawings mostly consisted of a forest in the deep night hours, yet the fauna and flora were filled with light, everything seemed to be alive, from the trees and the bushes, even the river was alight by a natural bioluminescent glow.
