Preparing for Homecoming

I was waking up to see people jumping on my bed. Knowing I was going out with my mom I decided to dress for her benefit as I sent her and Patricia out of my room and that I'd be there soon. Yesterday the shopping was based on Patricia and today it's on me. I didn't want to stress my mom out so I decided to drive. I barely had time to eat since they were so excited to go shopping. My mom went to the best dress shop she knows of and I wouldn't pay for anything in there since it's too expensive but my mom loved it and she threw me into the dressing room. I didn't get to choose what I was trying on, I was given dresses and told to try them on. After trying on so many dresses Patricia snuck in. she smirked, "your mom said no but I think you'll love it" she held out a turquoise dress that was slightly puffy on the skirt but went us as a turtle neck. I showed her out of the room and tried on the dress. I love it.

My moms eyes were open in shock yet glistened at the same time. "You look gorgeous" she gasped. I actually find it surprising that she said. Hell I'm surprised something nice can come out of her mouth when directed to me. I removed the dress and brought it to the cashier but to my surprise my mom payed. We all walked towards the cafeteria. Patricia and Maria were constantly talking about Patricia's boyfriend that Caleb didn't know about. He thought it was their first date, well he's completely off. And I just sat there listening and eating. I'd occasionally laugh along or add a comment but I liked eating in peace.

After lunch I dropped Patricia off at home and Maria and I drove off in silence. When we got home she didn't talk she just went inside grabbed her keys and left. She probably had a business meeting and i don't find it surprising that she didn't want to spend more time with me. I went into the living room and started watching criminal minds. "Who are you going with" my brother asked half scaring me to death. "Dude don't scare me like that, I'm watching criminal minds, I could have thought you were a murderer" I said trying to regulate my heart beat. He sat down next to me "so answer the question, who you going with?" I could see from the corner of my eye that he was extremely curious, "okay listen you'll find out there and honestly don't be surprised if it's not a guy" I hoped this would shut him up and luckily it did. Maria, mom, whatever I feel like calling her at the moment knows who I'm going with. She knows he's Alec's friend and she wasn't surprised but she agreed with me about lying to Alec and when I told her if he questions me I'd tell him not to be surprised it was a girl. She clapped. She was proud of that comment.

By now it was dinner time and I are like I've never eating before. Which caused me getting comments like 'you'll gain weight and not fit in your dress tomorrow', 'are you trying to get fat', 'If you eat that much you'll need a new dress'. It was annoying but I was used to it by now. I had to get my dress altered because of how short I am but I'm positive it'll look amazing. When I finished my dinner I went back to watching criminal minds and got comfortable on the couch. Way to comfortable. Luckily I was in a loose black t-shirt and black sweat pants that were 3x my size. I had a minion blanket covering my legs when I fell asleep.

I woke up around 12am to the front door opening, I was still in the living room. My mom walked in with bags I couldn't make out and I noticed her coming my way. I pretended to be asleep again as she turned off the tv and grabbed the blanket that now was on floor back into my body covering me completely. I instantly fell back asleep. I guess I'll find what those bags were tomorrow. I automatically started falling asleep again.
