I woke up to the sound of my alarm. I groaned. I was not ready to go back to school. I bolted up and shut my alarm off as quickly as possible. I hated the sound. It made me cringe. I grabbed a towel and head to the shower. I guess I was the first one up because I didn't hear anyone else.I stepped in the bathroom and closed the door behind me. I turned the shower on and got in. I washed my hair, used body wash. I shaved my legs. I brushed my teeth. I brush my teeth in the shower sometimes because I don't see why it would be a problem. It's faster and more efficient sometimes.
I got out and dried off. I wrapped a smaller towel around my head. I opened the door and peeped out to make sure no one was in the hall. I should really bring my clothes to the bathroom with me.
The coast was clear but I sprinted across the hall anyways. I ran into my room and closed the door behind me. I locked it and I walked to my closet. It was Monday and I didn't feel like dressing up. I threw on a pair of maroon pink sweats and a black crop top that said there is no one like you in white letters.
I sat down at my mirror. My hair was still wet. I didn't feel like drying it out. I shook it all out and made it as dry as possible.
I started to hear boys getting up while I was putting my damp hair in a braid. I brushed on some brown eyeshadow. I didn't even bother putting on eyeliner since I was so tired. I put on mascara and I was done.
I took one last look in the mirror and I looked like trash. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen. Everyone was in there. Christina was making the twins lunches for later. All the guys except for the twins and Adam were in the kitchen. They didn't have to get up till later because they were in different schools. Lucky them.
It's amazing how I could be the first one up and the last one downstairs. I honestly don't even take that long to get ready. Maybe it's just because I shower in the morning.
"Good morning Madi." Christina said when she saw me.
"Mornin." I smiled at her and walked to the fridge.
I grabbed the eggo waffles and popped them in the toaster. I grabbed a plate from the cabinet and the syrup from the pantry. I knew where everything was by now. I've been here for a month and a half and I think I already know my way around.
If you gave me a treasure hunt I should be able to find everything.
The waffles popped out and I grabbed them too soon. I threw the hot waffles on the plate quickly. I shook my hands out since the waffles were hot. I picked the syrup and squirted it on my waffles. I put the syrup back.
I squished my waffles together like a sandwich. I took my plate to the counter and I sat down. I picked up my waffles and I took a bite. Syrup oozed out of the waffles. It tasted so good. I loved waffles.... Probably more than pancakes.
"Bus is coming!" called Jack.
I finished my waffles really quickly; I put my plate in the sink.
"Coming." I called to Jack.
I grabbed my backpack and swung it over my shoulder.
Dylan stopped in front of me.
"You're sure you don't want to ride in the car with me?"
"I'm sure; I want to see Sam on the bus."
"Okay fine, I'll see you in school."
He stepped out of the way and I ran out the door. Jack was already running towards the bus everyone was boarding. I picked up the pace and ran to it too. Thank god I wore my converse today because I wouldn't want to run in flip flops.
