"OKAY ALRIGHT IM UP!!" Jayden yelled as he turned off his alarm, still groggy. "What time is it- HOLY SHIT-" Jayden said as he leapt out of bed. "SHIT SHIT SHIT!!" He rushed putting on whatever he could find, not caring if anything matched. He ended up grabbing an old pair of ripped jeans, a cropped white shirt, and his school jacket. He completely ignored his messy, blonde hair. "God damnit where's my beanie", he mumbled. "JAYDEN YOURE GONNA BE LATE! HURRY THE FUCK UP!", his mom shouted up the stairs. "I'M COMIN MA HOLD ON", he shouted back. He found it hidden under his uniform. He quickly grabbed his uniform, hat, and instrument and ran downstairs. "Finally god damn-" his mom paused. "Shit man I knew you were gay, but not that gay. You plannin on getting a boyfriend up there?" "MOM WHAT THE FUCK!!" He said, embarrassment flushing his face. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding. Just be careful cause there are creeps out there who think a cropped shirt is an invitation." "Don't worry ma. I may be short but I know how to whoop someone's ass!" Jayden said triumphantly, hands on his hips. "Yeah yeah, sure you do." His mom chuckled. "Now go get in the car before you get left behind." She said as she grabbed her keys. They walked out the door and got in the car. "Ok but if anything happens, call me. I ain't afraid to sock a bitch." His mom said seriously. "Ma!" He said before they both started laughing as she drove to the school.

When they arrived people were still showing up, the street lights still on showing how early it was. "Why did they make your call time so early in the morning" his mom complained. "Ma it's a 4 hour drive and we perform at 12:30. If we don't leave early we won't make it in time" he responded. "Yeah I know but next time they should get a later time." She said leaning in to kiss his cheek. "Ma I'm 18!!" He yelled embarrassed. "Aww my little boy thinks he's too old for kisses now, I'm so sad." She said making an over exaggerated frown. "..... Ok fine." He said giving in. She smiled and kissed his cheek. He got out and grabbed his stuff. "Good luck sweetheart!" She said as he walked away. "And remember call me if I need to fuck someone up." "MA!!" She laughed driving away. "That woman is too much", he mumbled. "Hey man you ready for this!" said a taller girl jogging towards him. "Hey Sam", he replied. "How the fuck are you so full of energy?" He said while they walked to the band room. "My dad got me some monsters on the way here and I chugged the first one already", she said casually while opening the door. "I am waiting for the day you have a heart attack." He said sarcastically. "The day I have a heart attack is the day you get a boyfriend. Speaking of boyfriends, you trynna get one? Don't get me wrong, love the outfit, but it just screams gay man." Jayden's face flushed. "You are the second person to say that. Is it really that obvious?" He whined. "Boy you are in a crop top with ripped jeans and you have on a beanie, you are gay as hell." She said while doing the hand motion. "Bitch you're a lesbian", he retaliated. "AND YOU'RE WEARING A FUCKING FLANNEL OH MY-" they started laughing before the director spoke. "Ok guys the buses are starting to pull in so grab y'alls things and get in a line from seniors to freshmen!" He said while pointing towards the door. "Fuck yeah we get first pick!" Sam said while pumping her fists. They quickly grabbed their things and got in line. As they walked out the saw the buses that they'd be in. Jayden could hear the people behind him getting excited. Suddenly one of the seniors shouted "HELL YEAH WE GOT THE GUCCI TESLA BUSES!!!" Everyone started dying laughing, some of them even started crying. The director spoke up, "Ok ok guys calm down. Seniors start loading up." The seniors started walking towards the buses and put their uniforms and instruments in the compartments under the buses. After they finished loading, they got on the buses and picked their seats, most sitting in the back. When Jayden and Sam got in their seats they put their bags down and pulled out their pillows, blankets, and snacks. "Here's a monster if you want one. My dad bought me like four." Sam said offering Jayden one. "You have a problem." He told her while grabbing the energy drink. "Yeah yeah", she said while snuggling into her yellow blanket. Jayden chuckled and put his headphones on. He scrolled through his playlist before settling with his calmest one. When the music started he cracked open the monster and looked out the window. He took a sip from the drink before taking some of the blanket from Sam. "This is gonna be a long day." He thought as they started leaving. "Maybe Sam and ma are right. Maybe I will find a boyfriend up here." He thought before shaking his head and giggling. "Nah, that's not gonna happen." Little did he know.... just how right they were...
