Kevin is shattered. Leilah doesn't know how long it took him to recover from all that. She doesn't know he poured his heart out for his ex day in and day out. How painful it was to see her in bed with another man...

Flashback

It was a hot sunny day for today's training session and the coach finally decides to wrap it up. He goes to the ice bath to recover from a hard practice. He texts his girlfriend Marbella that he'll be home soon and that they'll be able to go to the movies together. Marbella did not reply and he thought that she was still out with her friends just like she mentioned it early on that day. After the ice bath, he changes back into the clothes he came with and drives to a flower shop. Kevin knows that Marbella loves red tulips so he buys a wonderful bouquet and also buys a box of chocolate.

Kevin is happy.

Very happy.

On the way home, he sings along to his favourite songs as he pulls up to his driveway. He grabs the lovely little presents he bought and he was thinking of setting up a romantic bedroom for them. He steps into the house and clearly, it looked empty as expected. While walking up the stairs, he heard sounds from upstairs that got him confused but he still kept in a happy mood. Unfortunately, his smile was whipped off his face when he saw Marbella with his best friend Marco, fucking. 
Kevin: W-what...the fuck...
Marbella: Baby! It's really not what it looks like! 
Kevin: It's not...? IT'S NOT?! YOU'RE NAKED IN OUR BED WITH MY BEST FRIEND HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THAT SHIT?! 
Marbella: Amor relax, we can sit down and talk about this- 
Kevin: NO!! 

Marco put his clothes on and wanted to leave quickly but Kevin stopped him in his tracks. 
Kevin: You...I trusted you...We were friends since high school and you do this shit to me?! What the fuck have I done to you?! 

Marco couldn't even speak, he begged Kevin to forgive him but his anger got the best of him. He beat the living she out of his former best friend, leaving blood on his shirt and the floor. Kevin finally lets him go and turns to Marbella who's now fully dressed. 
Kevin: I was about to prepare something special for us...and what you do is bring another man into MY house?! 
Marbella: I-I'm so sorry Kevin...I really am! Give me another chance!
Kevin: You're a fucking slut that's what you are...I gave you my everything but you kept on distancing yourself from me! I wanted to believe that I'm just tripping but no...You betrayed me and my trust! How long has this been going on?! 
Marbella: We just-
Kevin: HOW LONG HAS THIS BEEN GOING ON PENDEJA!!!
Marbella: 2 months...
Kevin: No way...no FUCKING WAY!!
Marbella: Lo siento mi amor-
Kevin: NO! There's no more sorry... you're out of here. Pack your shit and get out of my house!! And that that shit with you!!

He throws the flowers and chocolate at her as she scrambles to pack everything up and leave. He still has a bloody shirt on but he doesn't care, his heart has been shattered to pieces. He really thought he could have a future with her but she did the biggest mistake doing the deed in his own house. Kevin cries for hours, drinks tequila and eventually gets drunk. He dials on his phone the number of one of his girl best friends and tells her to come over. When she got there, he instantly pressed his lips against hers and started taking off her clothes. She asked him what's up with the bloody shirt but he tells her that he just dropped paint on him and there's nothing to worry about.

He made sweet love to that woman. Making her forget her own name at times.

That day changed him.
