Reunion of soulmates

Chapter 8

After the birthday party got over, everyone returned back to Sukoon house. Avni was walking back and forth trying to think about the identity of the mysterious stalker while Sunheri, Tara, and Sitara were observing the contents of the box. 

Sunheri - I hope that now you will leave your stubbornness, Avni, and will seek help from the police regarding this matter. (sternly). 

Avni - Sunheri I don't think... (Sunheri cuts her off). 

Sunheri - Enough Avni, I don't understand why you are acting so carelessly in this situation. Among all of us you are the most sensible person yet, you are trying to ignore the fact that your life is in danger. Why don't you understand that you are precious to all of us, we can't see you in trouble, Avni. (frustrated). 

Avni - Sunheri I don't want to involve the police in this situation because I am fed up with this system now. (teary eyes). Since childhood police have been involved in my life, now I just want a peaceful life, I don't want to experience this complicated system again. (buries her face in her palms). whenever something wrong has occurred in my life there is always an involvement of this law, order, and uniformed officers. I don't want to seek help from them now, I am tired of these constant fights. 

Sunheri wiped her tears and got up from the chair. she made Avni sit and held her hands. 

Sunheri - Avni, I know that you have gone through a lot and I understand why you don't want to involve the police but we don't know how dangerous that person is. Today, he is sending you these creepy messages and boxes. who knows what he is going to do in the future? Your safety is at stake Avni, only the police can help us in this situation. whether you like it or not but I am going to inform everything to DD and you won't stop me now. I can't let you suffer more, there is a limit to everything, Avni. (determined). 

Avni - Sunheri... don't ... (sunheri cuts her off) 

Sunheri - My decision is final, Avni and if you don't listen to me then I won't hesitate to involve Neil in this situation. 

Avni became shocked after listening to her. 

Avni - You won't do that, let him live in peace, Sunheri. 

Sunheri - (chuckles) His peace resides in Sukoon house, Avni whether you believe it or not. when you'll go back into his life he would become peaceful once again. 

Avni sighs and looked at Sunheri who won't be giving up this time. 

Sunheri - Do you suspect anyone? I mean any person who wants to harm you for some reason. 

Avni - Vidyut. (whispers) 

Sunheri - (shocked) Do you think, he is still after you? It's been 10 years, Avni. 

Avni - He has a reason, Sunheri, he spent ten years of his life in jail, so it makes sense that he would like to make me pay for his sufferings. (blankly)

Sunheri nods and left from there advising Tara and Sitara to stay with Avni.

Neil's room 

Neil was patting Neilansh's head who was sleeping peacefully after a tiring day. Neilansh was sad when Avni went back to the orphanage so Neil cheered him up and after spending some quality time with his son, he made him sleep and was admiring the symbol of his and Avni's love sleeping peacefully within his arms. Neil positioned his head carefully on the pillow and covered him with a duvet and sat on the balcony along with Avni's diary. Reading Avni's diary has become a part of his daily routine, he finds solace when he goes through her raw emotions that she usually hides from him. He wasn't there with her when she was pregnant so by going through her write-ups he feels connected to that beautiful phase of life that he wasn't lucky enough to experience.
