Chapter Five

I shift slightly and find the sun shining brightly through my closed eyelids and I shift again but find something, or someone, clutching my legs, making it almost impossible to roll over. I feel a scowl cross over my face and I open my eyes and tilt my head up, finding who clutches my legs.

“Blythe! Let go you freak!” I whine, wiggling my legs around until he jumps slightly and lets go, him too looking up at me with a scowl on his face.

“What!?” he complains as he slams his head back down into the pillow and rubs his face with his hands.

“You were cuddling with my feet ago you weirdo.” I mumble before I too lay back down and roll over, making myself comfortable.

The events from last night return back to me and my stomach stops slightly when I recall what happened with Preston.

This is how it has to be. They have to be put in the past. Everything that happened with them has to be put away with a lock and key, only the key has to be lost, and never found again, leaving the memories impossible to retrieve.

“It’s not like you haven’t every cuddled with mine.” He mumbles back, breaking me away from my stupid thoughts.

      “I haven’t!” I defend.

“Yea right, blow some more steam out your ass.”

“Yours stink! It’s bad enough having to sleep by those things.”

“You could sleep on the floor.” He teases and I laugh slightly.

“Me? Sleep on the floor? You’re kidding right? If anyone was to be sleeping on the floor it would be you!”

“This is my bed! I’m not sleeping on the floor!”

I smirk to myself slightly before taking my feet and kicking him off the bed forcefully. He lands with a thud and a oof and I stifle my laughter before throwing a pillow and blanket down to him.

“Yes my friend, you are sleeping on the floor.”

I lay back down with a smile and shut my eyes. I feel his fingers lock around my ankle and pulls. Before I can latch onto the bed I fall to the floor beside him.

“Well if I am sleeping on the floor, so are you.” He says before settling onto the floor with his pillow and blanket. I laugh slightly and grab a pillow and settling onto the floor myself.

“So what are we going to do today?” I ask him as I gaze up at the ceiling.

“Your asking me this at,” he pauses, taking a look at the clock. “Ten thirty in the morning, why?”he whines.

“Because it’s time to get up and cause trouble, duh.” I say as I nudge him in the back with my knee.

“Yea, in a few hours.” He whines, shifting away from me.

“Fine you big baby, I am going to take a shower, and when I get out, if your not up, I’m getting you up.”I threaten as I climb to my feet and grab my duffle bag from the corner of his room and shuffle out and across the hallway, entering the bathroom and locking the door.

I have learned the hard way not to forget to lock the door with Blythe in the house.

I turn the water on as hot as it will go and turn my back into the water, letting the hot water rain down on my new tattoo. It stings a little at first but after a while the feeling begins to feel good.
