"Do you think he actually went through with it?" I look to San Lang, our arms are intertwined as we stroll through the outermost streets of the ghost city. Though these streets aren't as crowded as the one near the center, we still pass a few ghost here and there who call out to us to say hi. I Make sure to wave back to be polite while San Lang just continues walking.

"Of course he did." He responds plainly with a nonchalant shrug, "anyone would have."

I had convinced him not to leave a wrath butterfly in Shi's room because I felt bad, basically spying on him in such a state, so I don't know how he can be so sure. But, I trust him non the less, and the more I think of it, the more I'm also convinced that Shi would have decided to crush He Xuans ashes. I sigh,

[this is going to bring a lot of trouble. The death of a supreme means at least a hundred ghosts will attempt to take his place..]

"Gege has nothing to worry about," San Lang unhooks his arm from mine to wrap it across my shoulders and pull close to his side. I lean my head on his shoulder, it never ceases to amaze me how he can always tell when Im worried or stressed, and is somehow able to match his tone to comfort me. I watch him pull a small, shiny object from his pocket, then toss it in the air to catch it again.

"Dose gege really think I would let that idiot throw his life away for his crush and wind up burdening you?"

"San Lang..." I look closer to see that the object San Lang is playing with is a small, perfectly smooth silver and blue star. My hand subconsciously goes to the ring hanging around my own neck, "you mean you-"

"Please don't be mad gege," I feel him nuzzle into my hair as he kisses the top of my head, "He should have know what was going to happen when he so foolishly handed over his ashes. Besides, the fool still owes me debt."

"But what about Shi, he bound to find out sooner or later.." I frown, thinking of how hard it will be on my friend when he discovers the truth; he's only going to think He Xuan lied to him yet again and grow to resent him more.

"I suppose if its troubling Gege, I can always finish him off now" panic floods me as I watch as his hand close around the small object

"SAN LANG! NO NO! WAIT A MINUTE !" I dont know whether to laugh or cry, rushing in a panic to get the words out before he actually goes and kills him, letting out a sigh when he opens up his hand revealing He Xuans untouched ashes.

I hear San langs bell like chuckle, "Gege knows I would never do anything to upset him."

I just let out another sigh, we continue walking through the moonlight streets as San Lang stuffs the object back into his pocket, "I think Im going to hold on to this for a while."

I rest my head against his shoulder and he takes my hand in his, "I hope Shi will be okay."

"He has the honor of having gege look after him, if he's not okay he'll better be sorry for wasting your precious time."

"Is that a threat?" I stop walking to meet his eye, "I dont mind looking after him for a while, really." I pause for a second to chuckle at a sudden realization, "I think your just jealous I wont be spending all my time with you."

"Hmp" he gives me a pouty face before turning his head to the side, I laugh before reaching my arms up to take his head between my hands, turning it back towards me. I gently pull his head down to plant a kiss on each of his cheeks.

"You missed a spot." He meets my eyes making my face heat up, a sly grin tugging at his lips. With the moonlight highlighting every perfect detail of his face, I cant help but feel my heart melt. With an overly exaggerated sigh, I close the distance between our lips.

"For a supreme ghost king, you sure can act like a child" I joke, leaning my forehead against his. He wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me close, slowly rocking us back and forth under the glowing light of the moon.

"Only for my gege."
