Chapter 15: Finally Found

Mugman's POV

It's been almost two weeks ever since we last saw Strawberry.....I'm actually worried about her....I wonder where she is now.....

Meanwhile....

Devil: I finally have that cup girl's soul! I can't believe she fell for it! (laughing)

King Dice: Her souless body is in an alleyway, where no one can find her.

Devil: Excellent. With that cup girl's soul, I'm fully inspired again!

Devil walks over to the soul vault, where Strawberry's soul rests.

King Dice: Her soul is the only one there, though.....

Devil: Perfect....now....to torture her to death....

With Cuphead, he walks around town.

Cuphead: Strawberry? Where are you?

Cuphead looks around and he found an alleyway.

Cuphead: Hm?

Cuphead walks in the alleyway and found a foot sticking out of a dumpster.

Cuphead: Huh?

Cuphead pulls the body out of the dumpster.

Cuphead: Now who-

Then, his face fell when he realized who's body he pulled out of the dumpster. His eyes went wide.

Cuphead: Oh, my god....

Strawberry's souless body layed by Cuphead's feet.

Cuphead: Her soul....it got taken....

Strawberry's head and face is covered with cracks and her clothes are torn. One of her shoes are missing and her handle is broken. Her bad ankle is broken. She has a huge crack over her eye.

Cuphead: She's badly hurt.....I need to call an ambulance....

Cuphead holds Strawberry's souless body in his arms.

Cuphead: How is she so light? Oh, right....without her soul, she's super easy to carry.....

Cuphead calls 911 on the landline.

911, what's your emergency?

Cuphead: Yes, hello. I found my friend in a alleyway and she's baldy hurt. I don't know what to do....

Okay calm down, sir....is she moving or breathing?

Cuphead: I don't know....her soul got taken an-

Don't worry, sir. We'll come over right away. Where are you?

Cuphead: I'm a near a theater. Inkwell City Theater.

We're on our way right now.

Cuphead: Thanks.

Later, at the hospital, Strawberry lays in a hospital bed, motionless.

Cuphead: Is she gonna be okay?

Doctor: I'm not sure....without her soul, she's just....lifeless and souless....

Cuphead: What about her injures?

Doctor: Lucky, the crack over her eye didn't make her blind, so her eye is okay. But the cracks her face....maybe leave her with permanent scars.

Cuphead: What about her ankle?

Doctor: Her ankle is okay but she has a hairline fracture in her ankle.

Cuphead: How long she will be in the hospital?

Doctor: I'm not sure yet but you got to get her soul back.

Cuphead: I haven't told Mugman or Chalice yet....what happens if I didn't get her soul back in time?

Doctor: Well...she will mostly likely die....she has a day to live....unless you get her soul back.

Cuphead: Thanks for your help, Doc.

Doctor: No problem....

Meanwhile, with Mugman and Chalice....

Chalice: Mugs? Have you seen your brother?

Mugman: He said he went out to look for Strawberry. He's been out all day....

Then, Cuphead walks through the front door.

Mugman: Oh! Hey, bro! You're back! Have you found Strawberry yet?

Cuphead: Yes....

Mugman: You finally found her?

Cuphead: Yeah....

Mugman: Huh? What's wrong, bro?

Cuphead: I found Strawberry's body in alleyway....

Mugman: Huh? Why was she there?

Cuphead: Her soul got taken....

Mugman: What?! Are you serious?!

Cuphead: Yeah....and now she's in the hospital....

Mugman: Is she gonna be okay?

Cuphead: She's badly injured but she'll be physically okay for awhile.....but....

Mugman: What?

Cuphead: She only has a day to live.....

Mugman: WHAT?!

Cuphead: Yeah....without her soul, she's lifeless....but if we can get her soul back, there may be a chance to save her.

Chalice: Well, then....what are we waiting for? Let's go get our friend's soul back!

All: YEAH!

Cuphead: First, we need a plan.

Mugman: We need to find a way to get down there. That's where Strawberry's soul is.

Cuphead: What's the plan, bro?

Mugman: Okay, so here's the plan.....
