Drunk act

I started getting ready for the party tonight, and so was Mitch. I had my favorite pair of sneakers and I felt confident, so I was ready for anything.

"You ready?"
Mitch asked me all of a sudden.

"Yeah, lets go."

We walked to the door, but before I could open it, Mitch grabbed me by my arm softly and said

-"Can you do me a favor? I promise it'll be only for tonight."

-"Sure, what is it?"

-"I need you to pretend to be dating me at this party. I told my friends I was dating someone just to get them off my back, but rumors spread fast. It will be just for tonight, Please?"

It caught me off guard. I didn't expect him to say that.

"Alright, I'll do it. But what do I gain from this?"

"I guess I can buy you some weed, if that's what you want in return."

I chuckled.

"What? Do you not smoke? I thought you did."

"Yeah, I do smoke, I just don't think weed will be enough payment. You know, If we want to fool people I really have to get in my role." -I said as I laughed.

"Fine, I can buy you weed and maybe set you up with someone? Is that enough for you?"

Mitch said with a whiney voice.

"Let's discuss the payment later. Let's just go."

Mitch nodded after my statement, and we headed out to find Pink's car just outside the campus.

"Guys! Lets go! We bought beer if you want some. By the way Mitch, where's your girlfriend? Won't she be jealous if she sees you with Y/N?"

Pink said as he opened the car door for us.

Mitch chuckled and got in.

"Soo Mitchy... you gonna answer that? Where's your alleged date?"

"Right here."

Mitch looked at me smiling, so I smiled back. I couldn't believe I went from hating Mitch to pretending to date him.

"Woah Mitchy! You're dating the one and only Y/N? What a surprise? How did you two start dating?"

I saw Mitch get nervous, so I decided to answer for him.

"I was on my way to a party when I stopped by 7-11 to buy some beer. I found him trying to buy beer, but the cashier didn't believe he was 18, so when he went outside with his hands empty, I gave him the sixer I bought. We started hanging out from then and then we just suddenly started dating."

Mitch looked at me surprised, because he couldn't believe I came up with that lie so fast.

"Damn, Who would've though you would be buying beer for Mitch."

Pink said after starting the car. We made small talk as we got to the party, and I could see Mitch was nervous.

"Are you alright? You seem nervous."

I whispered to Mitch while Pink was talking loudly.

"Oh it's just that my ex will be there, just a little nervous."
