Chapter 3

Unique Building

Allie POV

The last class, let's get through this. I choose to sit in front of the teacher's table and make myself smaller so nobody notices me, also looking away from the door every time people get in. Then Jacob comes in with Cole, they are friends but not a best friend. They sit on the back and girls sat around them like hyenas find their prey.

Mrs. Lucy, my teacher came in. We start with an example of simple houses and ended up with weird buildings.
"Now we move on to your project of the semester. You're going to create your interpretation of a weird or unique building. The grade is going to cover 80% of your final grade. 40% for the design and 40% for the mockup." Said, Mrs. Lucy
Everyone including me has shocked looks on our faces because we rarely had an 80% project.
"And you guys going to do it in a group. Well, I'm not that crazy to make it an individual project, but I'm choosing the group member. You guys should learn about cooperation. Sit together after you know your group okay? The first group is Abby, Buck, and Ian Second group is Allie, Cole, and Jacob. Group 3 is ... " Mrs. Lucy continues

My jaw dropped. I turn my head a little by little and see Cole looking at me waving her hand meanwhile, Jacob is playing with his phone. I move to their table cause what choice do I have?

"I didn't know we're in the same class Allie, glad to see you," said Cole while lightly punches my shoulder. I just smile a little and sat in front of them.
"You're in this class?! I didn't even see you, Shortie" said Jacob. I just continue to smile.
"So what building should we make? A big building or a house?" Ask Cole
"I think a house is better because a house is everyone's basic need" I answered
"Hmm.. good stuff Allie, I agree to that fully," said Cole
"Yeah, house is a better choice. How about a small people's house like dwarf house that fits Shortie" Jacob said laughing. My expression froze, I mean it doesn't sound like a totally bad idea though that's not what I had in my mind
"The house must feel like a toy house, I'm pretty sure of it. Oh, or we should just make a mockup of Shortie's house! I'm pretty sure her house looks like a dwarf house. Should I call you dwarf? It also fits you" Jacob continues.
My expression starts to darken. Shortie is bad enough for me, dwarf would ruin the rest of my school life. I just fidgetted and dropped my head without realizing it, I think Cole notices because he said
"Stop that Jacob, you're going too far"
"Whaat? I'm just joking. You know I'm joking right" Jacob said while punching my shoulder. It's kinda painful but I am able to keep my poker face. Jacob look at both of us still smiling and laughing but after realizing we were not laughing he said
"You guys are no fun at all" while rolling his eyes. Then the bell rang which means time to go home.
"Let's just continue this assignment on weekend. How about this Saturday in Jacob's house" Cole ask
"Sure, sure. Whatever" Jacob answered standing up ready to go home
"I'll add you to the group chat and give you the address and time later okay," Cole said looking at me. I just nodded and get ready to go home.

Finally, it's time to go home. It's quite a day, I hope this Saturday is going to be fine.

After 3 chapters they finally go home XD. I'm having a really tough time thinking about what evil things should Jacob say in this chapter. I don't even think he's that evil in this chapter but I think other people would feel uncomfortable with what he says tho. What do you think? Is Jacob mean enough or does he still sound nice?

In the next chapter, there would be another little spark or maybe quite a big one.
