Chapter 4

She's Cute

Cole POV

I was shocked when Mrs. Lucy explain about the project we had to do which covered 80% of the final grade. She also says we're going to do it in a group, not sure whether I should be glad or not. Then she announces the group and I'm in the same group as Jacob and Allie. I don't even know she is in this class, she's so small and very shy. She's bad at presentations but she's hard-working and a very good team player so I guess this project is going to be great.

I'm waving at her when she sees me, I mean us. I said that I didn't know she was taking this class, glad to see her and she answered me with a little smile. I never notice but she looks really cute when smiling, her smile makes me unconsciously smile too.

"You're in this class?! I didn't even see you, Shortie" said Jacob. Jacob always refers to Allie as Shortie, and her face became as red as a tomato every time he calls her that. I must say that she looked cute with those blushes. Oh no, I shouldn't think about that right now, focus Cole focus now.

"So what building should we make? A big building or a house?" I ask trying to focus on the project.
"I think a house is better because a house is everyone's basic need" Allie answered. I actually also thinking to choose a house because we can create unique spaces or interiors to help with its functionality. So I answered
"Hmm.. good stuff Allie, I agree to that fully" then Jacob said
"Yeah, house is a better choice. How about a small people's house like a dwarf house that fit Allie" I get triggered a little bit when he refers to Allie as a dwarf but I didn't say anything yet.
"The house must feel like a toy house, I'm pretty sure of it. Oh, or we should just make a mockup of Shortie's house! I'm pretty sure her house looks like a dwarf house. Should I call you dwarf? It also fits you" Jacob continues. Now that's too far, I check her expression and knew right away that she felt uncomfortable with Jacob's opinion.
"Stop that Jacob, you're going too far" I scold Jacob. He then tries to make himself look innocent by saying he's just joking and punches Allie's shoulder. Allie holding it but she looks in pain, which awakens my urge to punch Jacob. But I didn't, I just gave him silence and a cold gaze. I don't like it when she looks sad or uncomfortable, and not sure why but I just have this desire to protect her. Maybe it's because she looks like my little sister, I guess that's why.
"You guys are no fun at all," said Jacob while rolling his eyes. Then the bell rang, and Jacob immediately stand up ready to go home. So I just said that we'll continue the discussion on Saturday at Jacob's house which everyone agrees to.

"I'll add you to the group chat and give you the address and time later okay," I said while looking at Allie. She nods while getting ready to go home.

I made the group chat on my way home, giving details on the address and setting the time to when everyone agreed to. I can't wait till Saturday come, but I do hope that everything going to be okay tho.
