For the first time after what felt like ages, Bruce went to that old park at the back of the manor. A place his father built for him when he was five.

He found the equipments there were mostly damaged. But that didn't stop Jack from climbing each of them.

Bruce had to keep a close eye on the boy to keep him from falling down and hurting himself.

When Jack got tired of climbing up the rusty slides and stuff, he decided it was time for him and Bruce to have a game of hide and seek. Bruce had no choice, but to give in to the boy.

"Bruce, you seek. I hide" Jack beamed.

"Alright.. But don't go too far from here"

"Sure!"

Bruce sighed and turned around. As he started to count, he heard little footsteps running away from him. He had to fight the urge to turn around and look out for him. But he couldn't for the sake of the game.

After a minute, Bruce started looking for Jack.

He looked everywhere. He even climbed up the trees to look for the little boy. He walked back and forth the park, looking for the boy, but he couldn't find him.

He had started to panic. "Jack?" He called out.

Silence.

"Jack, you are starting to scare me"

Still, no one replied.

"Okay, you win! I give up. Now where are you?!" Bruce was at the brink of his patience.

"Jack?" He felt himself call out again as he saw no sign of the boy.

Bruce felt a pang of panic take over him as his heart beat increased rapidly.

He started looking around in a hurried pace.

From somewhere within the area, he heard a light cackle which reminded him somuch of a certain someone, and in a matter of seconds, Jack appeared out of nowhere and made Bruce jump.

"Haha! I win!" Jack squealed as he hugged Bruce's leg.

Bruce hurriedly leaned down and embraced Jack. His eyebrows were knotted together as he hugged the boy closer. "Where were you?!"

"The bush?" Jack said, slightly surprised by the sudden drop in Bruce's voice.

Bruce looked at him unbelievably.

How come he never saw him hiding there?

"Don't pull such tricks on me again, Jack. Please, you scared me. I can't bear to lose you" Bruce's voice was barely a whisper.

Jack just snuggled into the hug as he couldn't quiet figure out what exactly was going on.

"C'mon, let's go back home. Alfred must be waiting for us"

Jack nodded and Bruce walked back to the manor, after scooping Jack up in his arms.
