A Ninja's Way of Life (Leo X OC)

The Blame Game

As the boys and Blair enter the lair Splinter is in the main room waiting for them. 

"Ah, there you are boys. It's time to start your training for the day." He said while running a hand through his goatee. 

"Ughhh. Don't tell me it's more practice with the 'art of patience' " Leo groaned. 

"No," Splinter chuckled, "We are doing physical training with hand to hand combat today." 

The boys all cheered as Blair stood to the side curiously, "So, like, you guys do actual training? I thought that was a bit of a joke?" 

The boys stood proud before Blair, "Oh no no no Amiga!" Leo starts, " For you see, you are in the presence of heroes!" As he finishes the boys strike a pose. 

"And not just ANY heroes!" Mikey continues, " We're NINJA heroes!" 

The boys strike another pose. 

Blair looks at them skeptically, "Ninja...heroes?"

"You don't believe us?" Donnie asked

"mmmmm.... It's not that I don't believe you. It's just that it's hard to believe." Blair admitted. 

"Well get ready to believe!" Leo announced as he used his Ōdachi to open a portal. The other end of the portal opened in Blair's room and Leo tossed her backpack through, making it land safely on her bed. 

"Woah..." Blair watched in amazement. "H-how did you...do that?"

"Mystic weapons baby!" Mikey cheered.

"Yeah, we're kinda awesome. No big deal." Leo smugly said as he closed the portal. 

"You want to watch our training session today?" Raph asked Blair in the hopes he could show off some of his new moves to someone new. 

Blair's eyes practically glowed, "Heck yeah! I've never seen real ninjas before!" 

Blair wasn't helping their egos at all.  

Blair sat to the side as she watched the boys spar with each other. Despite the restriction that they weren't allowed to use their mystic weapons this session, it was still thrilling to watch them. It was like it was straight out of a movie. 

As she's watching, Leo speaks up in the middle of his sparring session against Mikey, "You know, you could always try training with us. If you like watching so much, you'd probably like learning how to fight even more. " Mikey lands a blow right as Leo finishes his invitation. 

"Me? Fight? You really think I could keep up?" Blair questioned. 

"Well, you probably couldn't keep up with them but they could show you a few moves and you could continue to learn if you want." Splinter offered. 

"Yeah! Sure, I'm down!" Blair agreed as she stood up and walked toward the boys.

"Just remember, you need to take it easy, especially since you're malnourished. Don't be too rough boys." Splinter warned. 

All the boys gave a thumbs up to splinter. 

Leo walked in front of Blair and got into a fight stance, "Okay, lesson 1: You have to have the right stance. Having the right stance helps you keep your balance so you're not thrown off in the middle of a fight." 

Blair tried her best to copy the stance Leo had taken, suddenly feeling really awkward and aware of herself. 

"Almost, " Leo praised, "Just relax, widen your stance some more, and raise your arms to try and cover your vital points."
