"(Y/n)"

You hummed, absentmindedly acknowledging the individual calling your name.

"(Y/n), wake up"

Despite your 'not quite there' acknowledgment, they just kept calling. You had been floating in a darkness you despaired yourself to leave, but as the beckoning got more pushy and annoying, you had no choice but to force yourself out of it.
Awaking with a dragged on "Whaaat?"

You opened your eyes. It was pitch black here also, but there was a tiny little porch light emitting a golden hue. The light illuminated Kyle's face, which looked a bit annoyed. He was still shaking you, not realizing you were already awake.

"I'm up, I'm up! Please stop shaking me!"

"Jesus Christ— Finally!" He exclaimed. He leaned back, popping a few joints. "My back is killing me."

A thought passed your conscience, making you let out a small but sudden array of giggles.

Kyle was confused with your sudden outburst. "What's so funny?"

"You're like an old man" you had to keep yourself from spiraling into a full-blown laugh, as it was the middle of the night and it would be juxtaposed to the silence.

He groaned more irritated than before. It was late, and every second he wasn't in bed he began to tolerate less and less of people's shit.
"(Y/n)—just.." he pinched the bridge of his nose, taking note how in the night, you could become quite playful. "Sometimes you need to just...stop talking"

Instead of giving an valid answer, you zipped your lips with your fingers, and threw the imaginary key to the ground.

Kyle mentally rolled his eyes. But he couldn't help but be endeared by the playful display of promise. It kept him from being truly irritated by your idiocy.

"Okay, I guess that works too"

He was about to make his way out of the thicket surrounding your house, but his exit was interrupted by a loud hum.

You had your arms wide open, the porch light leaving a swirling hope in your eyes. The hum had been your 'silent' way of asking for a goodbye hug.

Kyle put little thought into his decision, but still he decided to taunt you a little. Not a harmful or mocking taunt he would usually aim at Cartman, instead with you he took a more friendly approach.

"That's not exactly staying silent, y'know"

You shrugged, obviously not finding it important. You continued to make a grabbing motion with your open hands, beckoning him to come closer.

"Okay, fine"

He stepped back onto the porch. "But you owe me."

You were confused, tapping your foot on the concrete stairs as if asking 'why?'

Kyle didn't quite know what you were trying to get across, leaving your question unanswered. But he still gave you a quick hug.
