"And you have all of your paperwork with you, yes?" Julia asked, washing the remaining plates from breakfast as I tied my shoes.

"Yup, all in here" I patted my bag, throwing my hair over my shoulders.

"Okay, we will meet for lunch in town. Let me know when you are done" She spoke, drying her hands. I nodded and gave her one last kiss on the cheek, before walking towards the door. I looked at my reflection in the mirror of the elevator, smoothing out my sweater and fixing the collar. Nerves bubbled in my stomach, as I checked numerous times I had everything I needed. God, I really hope they hire me. The firm's name is MUNDO. It is incredibly famous and pays well. One of my professors said it was the place to work in Madrid. My hands fidgeted as I stood on the metro, bouncing my leg up and down when my phone vibrated with a notification.

I took a deep breath as I walked into the elevator in the building. This was it. I clutched onto my portfolio, which was neatly laminated, hoping the contents inside were enough to prove I deserved a spot in their firm. I secretly hoped this elevator would suddenly malfunction, leaving me stuck in here so I didn't have to enter the interview. But unluckily for me, it seemed to be working perfectly, playings stupid little elevator music almost as if it was taunting me. The door opened and stepped in, walking up to the receptionist.

"Good morning, I have an interview with Fernando set up for nine am" I spoke and she smiled, calling out to someone.

"Irene! She's here!" A woman ,who I assumed to be Irene, walked up.

"Hola! My name is Irene, Fernando's assistant, we spoke on the phone" She stretched her hand out for me to shake. She had bright green eyes, peppered with freckles underneath. Her smile was almost enough to make me forget I would be entering an interview which would decide my future. Not only in Madrid but in my professional life.
