Gau ki woh thandi hawaye,
bas maan ko mehkate jaye.
Sahar ki rangraliya na bhaye,
gau ki khet khaliyano mai maan paye.
Ek subah gau ki sehar se dur,
woh mitti k ghar jaha har chinta fur.
Woh chaddio mai kabadio ka khel,
aur javan chokra chokri melai mai jatai mel.
Bas fir kiya sirf urte rehte din raat,
haste rehte jaankar mehboba ki baat.
Sath chahiye to sirf chahnewalon ka,
sahar ki baist zindigi mai jo hai mushkil.
