"I NEVER KNEW YOU were such a mama's boy," Amira smirked teasingly at Carter across the booth and he groaned, running a hand down his face.

"You caught that?"

"The whole shop caught that," She laughed.

"Why so embarrassed? I think it's cute."

"Cute? I am cute to you?" He playfully scoffed.

"Boy don't make me bop you with this salt," She lifted the salt shaker from the side. Carter threw his hands up in surrender. "My apologies Mia signora."

"So," He wiggled his eyebrows and leaned over.

"You like mama boys?"

"To a certain point." He leaned back, "Oh?"

"They're usually unhinged and bratty. Especially growing up with mothers who babied them too much. And if something happens to their mama, they usually go off the brim. Happens in every lifetime movie. I mean take Homelander for example."

"Unhinged."

"Yeah, but he never had his mom."

"And look how he turned out. A mamas boy without
a mama is still a mama's boy for certain either way."

"Hm," He stood up and sat beside her on her side of the booth. "Tell me more Bellissimo," He looked at her like she were a dream, his elbow on the table and his hand underneath his chin. Amira squinted at him and chuckled. "You're so weird," She sipped her drink.

"Guilty as charged I guess. But what about me?"

"What about you?"

"I'm not unhinged or on the verge."

"For now. Something makes everybody go a little crazy." He nodded in agreement, sitting his hand on the side of her waist. "If something happened to you, then I'd go unhinged," She looked at him. "Is this unhealthy?" He shrugged. "I don't think so."

"You're obsessed."

Carter nodded, not ashamed to admit it.

"That I am," He squeezed her waist. "So obsessed."

"You know, that's not good for my soul."

"I'm gonna get tired of you. Oh, look, I already am."

"Wow," He stared at her and they both laughed softly in sync. "Are you always this straightforward and rude on the first date?" She grabbed her drink again, taking the straw between her fingers, twirling it around.

"Not with guys I like, no."

"Ouch, that hurts, babe."

She leaned into him. "Good you cum bucket. How you think I felt last night?" She glared softly at him.

Carter groaned at the memory, images of how vulnerable and messy she was flooding his mind, and kissed the side of her neck. "Don't remind me right now when we're in a public place, Tesoro. And I thought you were high off ecstasy if you ask me."
