SUNLIGHT BURNED AMIRA FROM her jammed-shut eyes to the tips of her toes. A heavy groan passed her lips as she used the back of her hand to shield the blaring sun. She slowly sat up, her muscles cracking and adjusting. She moaned, twisting her limbs before rubbing her eyes. It took her a moment before she finally realized where she was. Still in the backseat of Cato's car. Her wide eyes searched her surroundings.

Though it was hard to tell due to the sunlight, she could make out some things. The car was parked and she was alone. Beside her on the right, were bushes, trees, and other parked cars. There were also a few benches underneath the moving trees where two random people were sitting converse. She almost wondered if she was kidnapped but knew the twins weren't that stupid.

Twisting her body, she noticed an open road of cars driving left and right. Then—after coming to her senses that she wasn't dreaming, she heard voices to the left. Carter and Cato were leaning up against the car.

Amira patted the seats and checked the floor for her phone only to take notice of it charging up front.

At least they did something right, she thought.

The hairs on the back of her neck stood up at the time set on her fully charged phone. 11:52 pm. She felt like a dragon about to shoot fire from her nose and ears as she flipped her Nike slides and slipped them on.

The second she hopped out of the car, she hissed at the blaring sun. "Fuck, I get it you're hot. Fuck out my face," She grumbled to no one, rounding the car and now standing in front of the brothers. They were in the middle of a conversation until Amira's piercing glare—that they somehow felt more than the blinding sun.

"Ah, look who's up," Cato smiled, chewing on some fries. Amira, confused as ever, took notice of the fast food bags on top of the roof, three drinks beside the paper bags. Both held burgers in hand with a side of fries. Amira did a double take to her left, her gaze lifting to the building before her. She was taken aback at the location. "How was your nap, Amore mio?"

She stumbled, still drowsy from her long nap.

"W-Where are we? W-Why am I not in class?"

The brothers looked at each other and Cato stuffed his mouth by taking a bite of his burger, leaving his brother to do the talking. He was still convinced—despite her annoyance with them, he was her favorite between the two. If Amira knew this, she'd call him delusional.

"We'll explain but, for now, eat," Carter grabbed one of the drinks on top of the car roof. Amira shook her as she took a good look at her surrounding area.

"Why—how are we at a White Castle? There's none where we...live..." Her voice trailed off and goosebumps coated her chilled skin—but not from the breeze. "A-Are we? No..."

She began laughing hysterically, looking at the twins for answers—concluding this was another dream of hers they invaded. The twins shared another look and Amira's face fell, the realization of it all silencing her.

"Are we in New-fucking-Jersey?!" She snapped.

Cato flinched at her tone while Carter just stared at her, sipping his drink. Stumbling over a few rocks, she held her hands out in a clawing formation as she approached the brothers like she were about to choke them out. "Why the fuck are we in New Jersey?!"
