After the holidays were over, Bucky was making dinner one night while she was doing homework.
"Need some help?" Monroe said as she joined him.
He smiled at her, "yeah." He said as she smiled.
They began to make dinner, he turned on some music in between flipping the meat and stirring the side dishes they were dancing and singing. After they ate dinner, she joined him to watch the Dallas Cowboys game.
He explained the game to her, and his enthuaism for the game is what began her likeness for it as well.
A few nights later, after dinner they were enjoying dessert.
"Can I ask you something?" She said
"Sure." He said
"Why don't you have a wife or girlfriend?" She said
He gave her a small half smile, "I almost did have a wife, but she left me at the altar. She had been cheating on me with her ex." He said
"Oh, Im sorry." She said
"I was in a dark place for awhile. Mad at the world, drinking and really depressed for awhile. But then I went to therapy, and AA put my life back on track." He said
"She is stupid..you are caring,smart loving and handsome man. She gave up a wonderful guy. I hope one day I meet a guy like you and marry him." She said
"He'll be lucky to have you. You are beautiful,smart, and sweet Monroe. Not to mention the strongest girl after all you have been through." He said
After they cleaned up, they went up to his bedroom to watch netflix and fell asleep.
