A few days after Monroe's release, the high school held a anti-bullying assembly.
"As you all know a student was attacked and nearly died from a bullying attack." Ms Hill said
Whispers filled the room, "Quiet..now we would like to know who else here has been verbally or physically attacked by Fantasia and her friends." Coach Fury said
Nobody moved, "There is nothing to be afraid. They have been arrested and expelled." Coulson said
Hands slowly began to rise, and each of them gave their name as Fury pointed to them. The officers took their names down. Ms Hill went over the new protocol for bullying at their highschool. After that the ones that gave their names spoke with the officers.
Meanwhile, Bucky was sitting at a therapy office while he and Monroe waited for her turn.
"Monroe Davies."
Bucky went back with her, they sat down on the couch. Dr Belinda Jenkins came into the room.
"Hi, I'm doctor Belinda Jenkins." Belinda said
"James, and this is Monroe." Bucky said
"Monroe can you tell me why you are here?" Belinda said
Monroe looked down, Bucky leaned in her ear "Sweetheart you have to talk.." he whispered
She shook her head no as she tighten her grip on his hand.
"I'm sorry, she doesn't talk much she wouldn't even speak to the officers or the doctors." Bucky said
"Was she like that at school too?" Belinda said as she made notes.
"Yeah she would only talk to her friends." He said
"She has what we call Selective Mutism, basically she will talk to who she trusts but anyone new has to build that trust." Belinda said as she walked to a cabinet in her office.
She came back over to the sitting area, she handed Monroe a sketch pad and colored pencils. She lit a calming lavendar candle before retaking her seat.
"Draw for me Monroe, show me in drawings what happened while I talk to James." Belinda said
Monroe let go of Bucky's hand, she took the stuff and sat at the table.
"You'll need to be patient with her James, make her feel safe as much as you can." Belinda said
"Okay.." he said
"She has major PTSD, severe anxiety and trust issues. Im going to prescribe her some anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medication." Belinda said
Ten minutes later, Monroe re joined them and gave the pad of paper back to Belinda. Belinda saw a drawing of her parents in one room doing drugs while a girl was being attacked in her bedroom. In another drawing was the bullies and the girl.
She showed them both to Bucky, "Good job Monroe we will end it here today we will come back on Thursday." Belinda said
After they left Bucky and Monroe grabbed a pizza and headed home.
