DECLAN'S POV

Before Marley left today I felt a strange feeling come upon me.

I've always been the guy who could get any girl but no one ever made me feel the way Marley did in that moment.

She is beautiful.

The most beautiful girl I've ever seen. To bad she doesn't feel the same way about me. Why would she? I may be popular and according to ever girl "super attractive" but why would she like a player like me.

She's too smart and too innocent to be with me. Someone who would hurt her. Someone with deep secrets and dark drea-

My door swung open... It was my brother.

"What the hell bro, I was in the middle of some pretty deep shit."

"Sorry man I needed to talk to you about Danielle"

Danielle is his girlfriend. They have been pretty serious for about 9 years now.

"Yea man what's up?"

"So I want to ask her to marry me and I need you to be my best man if I do."

"Dude that's amazing, do it. You both obviously love each other a lot. I'm so happy for you man."

And I truly was. I hadn't seen my brother that happy himself since his "high school sweet heart" if you wanna call it that.

She ended up ending it but that was okay because he found Danielle and feel instantly in love.

"Thanks baby bro. I can't even tell you how nervous I am but I know it's gonna be an amazing life with her, I can feel it. I'll talk to you more about this later. You can return to your "deep thinking"

He laughed and left the room.

So I did return to my deep thoughts.

For the next 4 hours all I thought about was Marley and how I wanted to tell her everything but I couldn't.

I'm not the person she thinks I am.

I've done some really bad things in the past that I'm not proud of, and I can feel the urge to do another bad thing again. I try and fight it so I don't hurt my family again but sometimes I can't.

All my life I've felt the urge to-

To do bad. But I don't want to hurt Marley.

I can't hurt Marley.

I won't hurt Marley.
