*If you can't remember Aiden is Marley's brother*

AIDEN'S POV

My dad was home.

It had been about 5 years since any of us had seen him and we hoped we would never have to see him again.

He followed my mom into the living where they had a really long and surprisingly really calm talk.

Most of it was about how me and the rest of my siblings were doing but then out of no where he asked my mother for another chance.

He said he wanted back into the family and that he had changed.

Bullshit.

He was never a good man and he never will be a good man, but of course my mom listened and took in all of the crap that he was saying. My mother knew he was bad for our family but she let him in anyway. She knew what he had done to me but she took him in.

She gave in.

As the conversation went on I waited at the top of the stairs recalling all of the terrible memories I had of my father. The memories of him beating me out of drunken rage. The memories hurting me, and I began to cry.

I prayed to God that she wouldn't take him back. I prayed to God that she knew what it would do to the family. I prayed to God... But I knew he wouldn't listen.

The house suddenly fell silent as my dad emerged from the living room and into the front hall. At that exact moment Marley opened the front door.

I saw her eyes fill with anger and her firsts clench at her sides.

"What the hell are you doing here?" She screamed.

"Now Marley is that anyway to speak to your father?"

"You are not my father. I don't have a father. I haven't seen him in 5 years after he beat me, my brother, and my mother."

Dead silence.

He had nothing to say because he knew it was true. He was never a father to any of us.

He finally began to open his mouth again when my mother stopped him.

"Marley honey, your father has changed and I've decided to give him a second chance."

Marley's face turned bright red and I could tell that anger filled her body.

"Bullshit. He isn't a changed man and he never will be. How could you give him a chance after everything he has done to this family?? He beat your children, do you not understand that? I guess you don't because your stupid enough to fall for this jackass all over again."

And with that she slammed the door leaving us all behind to dwell in her words.

MARLEY'S POV

I ran down the street crying from the unbelieveable nature of my mother.

She didn't know what she was doing or what this would do to the family. She was too drunk to know her own name half the time and now this.

My head began to pound and my vision became blurred so I went to the only person that I knew could make me feel better, Declan.

He conveniently only lived 2 blocks away making it easy for me to go to him.

I ran inside his house and up to his room, busting open the door, and falling to my knees in front of his bed.

Declan took me in his arms and reassured me that everything was going to be ok. He eventually asked what happened and I told him everything.

He told me that I could stay the night so I did. We watched Netflix and cuddled for the night.

Around 2 am I woke up with a horrible dream. In it Declan had gone crazy and tried to kill me. The thought of that actually happening made me cry again and I woke him up.

"Marley what's wrong?"

"Nothing, just a nightmare."

"Well maybe I can help make it better."

His lips crashed into mine and I felt the sensation throughout my body. I ran my hands through his messy hair playing with each curl.

I pulled away immediately and asked "What are we doing?"

"I'm trying to help you Marley. Let me help you"

He leaned in again, putting his hands on my waist.

"No stop. This isn't going to help me Declan. If anything it will make it worse. I can't believe I agreed to sleepover."

"Why did you agreed to sleepover?"

"I don't know."

"Do you want to be with me?"

"I don't know. I have to go."

I rolled out of the bed and ran out of the door crying.

I decided to take a long walk and think of everything that had happened.

As I was walking it began to rain. This day couldn't get any worse.

But it could.

I felt an arm come around my shoulder... It was Cassie and Aria.
