I got home and did my hygiene routine. And just reflected. I was genuinely surprised by how Tre instantly forgave me without giving me a runaround. And if he were to give me a runaround or not talk to me ever again I'd understand because I know that I went way overboard and was out of line.
Now what I did doesn't automatically excuse what he did but I didn't even care about that to be so honest. He dismissed me when I was trying to care for him but that attitude just came with the lifestyle he lived.
My brothers are the same way. Anytime the topic comes up they get very passive-aggressive and defensive about it, because deep down inside they know it's wrong. So I let that go simply because I know Tre enough to know that, that's the reason he reacted that way. He felt too far gone. Maybe it was just me but it was clear from miles away.
And the whole Jayla thing was indeed very odd and coincidental but that also wasn't even a thing to me. Mostly because Tre and I aren't even together. It's obvious more now than ever we have a thing for each other but we haven't talked about what stage we were in or anything so when it came to him being with another woman it didn't bother me.
I wish I would have had time to process and reflect on that way of thinking before I popped out with Dae...but what's done was done. Tre also forgave me and reassured me that it was water under the bridge for him so I wasn't going to be too hard on myself.
I zoned back into the present time when I felt Miss Trina put her hand on my shoulder gently squeezing it. I smiled up at her and she chuckled.
"What were you thinking about that had you smiling?"
"I didn't know I was smiling" I said with a dreamy sigh.
"Your such a trip" she said mushing my head softly while walking up to the standing computer.
"Oh and ima get you for hanging up on me last night." She said pointing at me with a squint.
"Oh yeahhh..." I said thinking back on that whole situation.
"Well I'll let you know what happened after that" I said spinning around in my chair.
She looked at me with a slight grin before rolling her eyes playfully.
"Fine" I said shrugging turning, around grabbing a stack of papers hitting them against the desk to align them.
"gone ahead" She said sitting down on the rolling chair next to me.
"It was Tre at the door." I said tilting my head down side eyeing her as if I was surprised all over again.
"Mmmmmm" she said looking at me with her lips puckered out.
