Cale blankly sat down on the floor the moment he entered his room. He didn't know why he said that. He didn't know why he refused. It's just. What the fuck with this situation!?
"It's a burden." He accepted that fact.
He is the prince who is attempting to ascend to the throne. If Alver wishes to keep his status, he should be able to get help from a ducal or marquessate's house rather than a count's house.
"Human... are you all right?" Raon inquired, concerned.
"I'm fine."
He stood up and told all the children to rest for the day.
He had a dream that night of a brown-haired child holding his hand. His skin was the same color as his, and his eyes were the same color as his. But that child looks exactly like Alver Crossman.
He couldn't help but wake up and look up at the ceiling, concerned.
A child right now would harm Alver's standing in the Royal Family. He can't afford any issues or rumors around him right now.
But why is he thinking about that? It's not his problem! It's just that, looking at his belly, he just felt what most mothers he talked to before feared. Will my child be born and live fatherless?
It was a painful realization for the child growing inside of him.
If he told Alver, would he accept? Didn't he hate people like him? Didn't he distance himself from people like him? It's just that he's currently useful to him; that's why.
"Cale... can I woo you?"
He blushed after he remembered that. He subconsciously embraced Raon who wiggled lightly because it was quite suffocating.
Shit! Shit! Why am I remembering all that?!
He felt his face going hot.
How should I face him? He rolls around bringing Raon to the side while burying his head over On's furry belly.
"Human is acting weird."
"Yeah, really weird."
The children all chirped but they were smiling widely at their alpha-reeking Omega parent.
The next day was very much awkward for Cale. Pregnancy made him sleepy for the rest of the day. He had to go with Alver in his carriage to the Moguro Kingdom.
The Alpha prince was making his way to his side while keeping a respectful distance. The alpha would always ask for his permission before touching him when needed. He would offer him sweets and treats and give him his utmost attention to everything so much that Cale become the most spoiled Young Lord ever treated by the Crown!
"Cale..."
"Yes, Your Highness?"
"The inns are apparently full..."
Cale can sleep outside but not in his current situation.
"We should share the room."
*crack!*
*thud!*
*crackle*
Alver decided to ignore those dangerous sounds. There are cracking wolf claws. A swordmaster who 'lightly' punched a steel wall. Lastly, there's a vicious chef glaring at him while crackling his hand while holding that dangerous whip's handle.
"We should."
The atmosphere dropped.
"On, Hong... Come." Cale said and took the key while Alver followed him like a smitten bastard that the other boys wanted to salvage and murder right now.
Alver can hear Lark ask Vicross and Choi Han, "Would Young Master Cale be alright?"
Vicross pats the wolf's head while Choi Han opted to guard outside their room. It's clear that the County is trying to protect Cale from him.
Hah. I should work myself hard if I want my in-laws to trust me.
He entered the room he would be sharing with Cale. Cale was already sleeping with his baby dragon and his fur babies. Alver calmly spread his pheromones. He can hear a satisfying purr from the omega which made him smile. He sat on the couch and decided to sleep there when he noticed Cale's blanket off him. He lightly approached Cale and tucked him properly.
While doing so, he noticed that tiny bump on his belly. He's skinny yet so beautiful. He felt the light touch of the Omega on his hand as it was placed on the belly where the not-yet-noticeable bump was.
Alver somehow felt relieved and satisfied. There's a sense of pride permeating deep inside. He couldn't help but let out a satisfied rumble before his hand was tapped by the fur babies with their tails.
"Sorry." He said.
Ohn moved to Cale's belly and hissed at the Alver. Hong moved close to his sister and displayed his cute furry butt to him.
Hah. If they weren't children he'd definitely be jealous of them!
He chuckled and returned back to the couch. He closed the hands that touched Cale's belly and held them close to his chest.
Shit. just thinking that his omega was close to him can't make him fall asleep. He wants to cuddle his omega and spoiled him rotten. With those thoughts, he fell asleep satisfied and with a grudge for not being able to do his fantasies.
He woke up when he heard someone vomiting so loud. Cale was puking hard on the bronze jar. He immediately stood up and gently patted Cale's back.
"You alright? What's wrong?" he asked.
The omega weakly leaned on him, so Alver reached out for a clean towel to wipe Cale's lips.
"The smell..." Cale frowned and pointed at the incense placed by Alver's attendant, "throw it away."
Raon immediately threw the incense while Alver carried Cale back to the bed.
Alver never heard of Cale being allergic to incense to the point he had to throw up. When he visited the County, there was incense lit around.
"Pat..." Cale demanded.
Alver confusedly looked at the kittens and at Cale. Cale has already pulled him down on the bed and buried himself in his arms, "Pat." Again. Cale demanded.
The prince gently pats Cale's back. He can hear that satisfying purr so he let out a satisfying rumble. Cale scooted even closer to him and comfortably found his position while Alver was on the verge of falling off th bed.
This is torture.
Eventually, morning came and soon Alver let go of the omega before the vicious chef and the swordmaster murdered him on the spot.
Hah... I wish I could've spent more nights with him like this.
Too bad they'll soon arrive at Mogoru.
