Cale's baby bump could not be hidden any longer by the time the Crown Prince's engagement ceremony took place. He is already on his seventh month. He debated whether he should go or not, but...

He was a part of your story, but not your happily ever after.

"I told you, did not I? I am not going to marry?" he raged at the queen, who had made up for this sh*t. The third queen is attempting to force him to marry in accordance with royal family tradition. She went and sent an invitation to Henituse County.

All without his permission.

He wanted to kill this woman right away. He intends to demolish everything. They will be engulfed in war sooner or later, but for now, they are attempting to bind him to their family in order to keep power over the throne.

He still has not resolved matters with Cale, and now another issue has arisen.

As he walked out, he slammed the door shut. He returned to his Palace and threw all of his clothes on the ground. He tried contacting Henituse County, but no one responded.

"Damn it," he grumbled. This is the first time he didn't know what to do. The King even permitted this messed-up situation. Damn it. Just damn it all. He came back after three months from the Mogoru Empire, and the thing he came to was this mess.

Even if he's the Crown Prince, he can't have all the power to decide for himself.

He can't help it. He needs to clear things up with Cale. He must be honest about his feelings before Cale decides to abandon him.

Using Magic all on his own, he traveled through the transportation seal to Henituse County. He decided to find Cale first, but what met him was the most heartbreaking scene he ever saw.

Cale would never wear such thin and baggy clothes whenever he was with him.

The bump on his belly made him want to cry and beg.

"Cale?"

Cale looked as if he was going to wait for him.

He wanted to ask. He wanted to ask him about the bump. But his entire being is screaming that it was his.

He finally realized that the dark beauty who had spent the night with Cale—the person who had taken his first and forced him to bear this burden alone—was him.

Cale gave him a cold look. He caressed the bump with his palms.

"Cale... I..."

"Which is more painful, people or expectations?"

He asked. Alver remained silent but whispered, "Attachments."

"Right..." Cale sighed bitterly.

Alver, "..."

He is currently thinking about crap, but Cale is not saying anything.

Cale's pregnancy was brought to Alver's attention. He remained silent and fixed his gaze on Cale. He used his fingers to brush his hair.

"I was overjoyed when you extended your hand to me."

Alver comes to a halt when he hears Cale say something serious.

Cale, who never knew how to love and was always in denial, says, "Meeting you changed my view..."

"Your Highness," Cale said again, "you broke me. The past me. I can not think about things or do certain things without thinking of you. I can not see you without wanting to be with you. I can not imagine anyone getting to enjoy your fucking smile or any of the thousands of little things that make you perfect. I cannot imagine ever getting over you. Even the thought of being in another relationship in the future scares me because it means we are over."

He remained deafeningly quiet. He remained motionless as he tried to swallow all the words that Cale was throwing at him.

"I have given it a lot of thought, Your Highness."

Cale's soulful voice moved him to tears.

"I have been thinking about what I would do if I lost all the people around me someday."

Cale, who appeared distant, was the trash son of County, whose surname is synonymous with trouble.

"I thought I could live on my own."

Was telling him about all of his worries and thoughts.

"I thought I could carry on like this..."

Cale smiled bitterly.

"But... My child..."

He knew pregnancy could make someone emotional, but Cale had no tears in his eyes, just a cold expression with a bitter smile.

"Knowing the fact that my child will suffer the same thing I did... Breaks my heart."

Not for him, not for Cale...

But for the child who'd be fatherless—for the child who wouldn't know what a real family will be.

"People scare me. They change their minds so quickly. One moment it's "I love you" and "You make me happy" and the next it's "I'm not sure anymore" and "This isn't what I want"."

Cale looked at him hopefully.

"Alver..." Cale whispered brokenly, "I don't want my child to live like that."

Cale wants his child to live happily, as free and lively, unlike them.

"I don't want our child to live the same way either of us did."

He calmly smiled at him and held his hand.

"That's why... I can't this hand... I can't hold your hand forever."

Alver looked at him. Cale decided not to depend on him. The royal family is not the suitable place if all he wants for his child was to live in peace and happiness.

Cale had to go through everything alone. He had to act like trash even when he's not. He took on the burden or many while courageously taking up the burden alone.

While he had to survive in the palace. He had to struggle against countless deaths and countless threats.

Their child cannot be live peacefully, if none of them gives up their current life.

Their child can't live happily if they remained in the County or the Royal palace.

Yet, he can't let go of Cale's hand.

He can't promise anything or even the world.

"Cale..." he called, besotted by his sad expression, "Are you going to leave me?"
