It's suffocating. Cale frowned at the excessive display of Alver's love.

The Alpha had been doting on him—no—rather at his baby bump and particularly too overprotective of the bump than him.

Call it jealousy, but was all Alver could think of the bump?

Sorry baby. Mommy's a bit bratty right now. He felt a light kick on his bump. Even his baby is not cooperating with him right now.

So Cale decided to go back to the county.

"Hah. You can still retract the marriage contract." Deruth happily said, smiling from ear to ear. He had the marriage contract ready to get ripped or burned.

Of course, it perked Cale's ears, but he just wanted some alone time because it seemed like that bastard shining alpha was more concerned with the bump than with him—his child's mother—who was suffering from pregnancy.

What a useless alpha.

Cale whined and slumped on his bed. He took all the clothes he brought from the palace and made a nest.

"Ugh. I can't sleep."

Even with the children around him, including all the beast children he had—he can't fucking freaking sleep.

"What's wrong?" Robbit asked Alver sighing deeply ever since he entered the Crown Prince's office.

Alver stared at him, frowned, and sighed once more.

"Runaway."

"What?"

"My omega ran away again."

So...

"Do you want me to post a notice again?"

Alver's brows creased even more.

"Just stay put, Robbit, and thank you for the sentiment; I no longer need your wanted posters."

"Do you even know why he ran away again?" Robbit inquired.

"I... don't know," Alver replied.

Robbit remained silent for a while. Cale Henituse can sometimes be impulsive and does some of the most questionable things.

"Have you been treating him well during the pregnancy?" Robbit inquired. His friend finds it disturbing to be overly spoiled. Crossmans tend to spoil their mates to the bone, but he believed something would be missed.

"I have been reminding him to be careful because it is more than just his body."

Robbit remembered Alver nagging Cale about not staying out too long because it was bad for the baby. He once witnessed Alver fist bump the baby bump before greeting Cale.

Ah. Now I understand.

Robbit cleared his throat and said, "You have been caring for the baby bump while ignoring your omega."

"I have never ignored Cale," Alver responded.

"But you always say it is for the baby's health. Pregnancy hormones do the exact opposite of things, so your Omega might misinterpret your overprotectiveness to mean him being ignored," Robbit stated as a matter of fact.

Alver suddenly came to a very convincing realization.

"I fucked up."

"Yep. Big time, Hyung-nim."

Alver simply frowned and ordered Robbit to sit in his seat. The crown prince's office chair is so annoying.

"Um... Hyung-nim?"
