Chapter 21

ETHAN

"Hey," I barely hear Joshua call out to me as I continue to stare at the door my mate just exited through. "Ethan!" I snapped out of my trance and turn to Joshua, noticing the concerned look he had on his face. "Are you just going to stand here or are you going to go after her?"

I didn't know how to answer his question. Jax was practically howling with so much, I was starting to feel a headache coming on full force.

"I," shit, what could I say. I was fucking embarrassed and hurt by our mates reaction to us. Without even saying another word I just walked away from my alpha and headed out the same door my mate left through. I heard a few whispers from some she wolves and I growled loud enough for them to shut up and lower their heads in respect.

"HOW DARE YOU!"

Jax and I both growl again hearing that woman's piercing voice, and this time we are pissed hearing her yell at us. I turn to see a few of the hospital staff trying to balance Gloria, but she rudely pushes them away and crosses over to me, well more like wobbles over to me. She is not a pretty site, with leaves and dirt all over her blonde once perfectly styled hair and a few scraps around her chest and arms. She approaches me with so much anger oozing out of her I almost feel like laughing at her childish behavior as she crosses her arms and huffs at me.

"That bitch threw me out the window! She needs to be punished immediately for what she did to me!"

Before I can say anything, I feel a strong aura from behind me and know immediately it's Joshua and he is not happy. I see several omegas and even the hospital staff lower their heads. Gloria and I also lower our heads in respect as Joshua approaches us.

"Gloria, you have caused enough problems in my pack." Joshua says in a low serious voice. I see two warriors approach us and Joshua nods his head towards Gloria. "My men will personally escort you off my property and," he leans in closer as Gloria takes a step back in fear. "You are no longer allowed on my property without proper approval from me. Is this clear!" He growls in her face.

I notice the once perfect blonde Gloria has finally shown her true colors as she menacingly looks at Joshua straight in his eyes. Bad move Gloria.

"How dare you treat me, a daughter to a beta at Crescent Moon like this!" She practically screams in Joshua's face.

I notice the two warriors are about to detain her when Joshua raises his hands to stop them. "I AM ALPHA HERE!" Joshua roars in his alpha tone and practically everyone feels his anger and I fall onto one knee as I notice others fall on both their knees.

Gloria is struggling with his aura, but because she is not a part of the pack, she is not feeling it in full force like we all are, but it is having a negative effect on her as she struggles to maintain her balance.

"Your alpha and father have been informed of your disrespect in my pack and I am sure your alpha will want to speak with you personally since he and I are good friends and have a very strong alliance! You are one lucky bitch, because your ass would be locked up right now for your disrespect towards me!" Joshua motions for his men to grab ahold of Gloria who starts to struggle. "Don't for one minute think you have any rights in my pack. You never stood a chance! Get her off my fucking property now!"

The two warriors practically drag a screaming Gloria away as she shouts and screams profanity and some other incoherent words back at us.

Joshua then turns to me once they are out of sight. His anger has diminished a little, but I can tell he was still pissed but there was also concern in his eyes. "Oscar alerted me your mate just crossed the border and headed north. You still have time to catch up." He gives me a firm nod and slaps my back before he walks away.
