He would prefer if they stayed where they were. (Just in case of emergencies, Etc.) but if his darling really wanted to (and they had behaved.) he would take them somewhere warmer.

He won't stand for them just pretending. They can either show that they truly don't like it or actually start to like it there is no in between.
Tradition: would they have any holiday traditions with their darling?
Doesn't really have one but if his darling has any, he will be more than happy to participate with them.

If his darling gave him a gift it would be the best Christmas ever for him.
