Chapter 1

It was an early morning start for the Buckley's although a certain 11 year old didn't mind one bit as she was super buzzing with uncontainable energy because of her ADHD was making her mind too hyperactive at 5 in the morning, it wasn't easy for Buck to look after a kid when she was left with him at the age of 18 but he made it work even after finding out that she had ADHD when [Y/N] was 5.

-"[Y/N] com'on, what have I said about cleaning up your mess's?!"

"Sorry daddy! I'll do it in a minute!"

-"You better not be drawing on your wall again!"

There was a moment of silence from the 11 year old's room before she replied in a rather suspicious voice which told Buck everything, she was indeed drawing on her wall again but it was with something alittle bit more permanent than crayons like last time, either way Buck knew he'll be the one cleaning up all the messes that his hyperactive daughter has left behind, that was if he managed to do so before Maddy came through the door.

Half an hour latter Maddy came through the door being met with a stumbling Buck as he hid one of [Y/N]'s plushies behind his back as he greeted his sister at the door with a smile, although Maddy could see that her little brother was struggling with cleaning up after his daughter and getting ready for his shift at the firehouse, so with a chuckle she told him she'll deal with the cleaning while he got ready for work which he was so greatful for.

By the time it reached 7:15 the house was cleaned up and everyone was heading out the door with Buck placing kisses on both [Y/N] and Maddy's foreheads before he left for work and the girls went on their way to town for their girl bonding day, they went for breakfast first then to the movies and afterwards they walked around town going in and out of shop's, but it was while they were walking through the street market that they were separated.

A big fluffy black and ginger coloured cat plushie had caught the eye of [Y/N] and not thinking before she acted, she let go of Maddy's hand to wonder over and fawn over the plushie, Maddy didn't notice the loss of warmth in her hand until a few minutes later and once she noticed that her niece wasn't anywhere to be seen she started to panic.

The old couple that owned the stall had given [Y/N] the cat plushie as she loved it so much also because she reminded them on their own granddaughter, thanking them both happily [Y/N] looked around for Maddy but she couldn't see her anywhere, so she remembered what her father kept telling her when she was little and ever got lost to find the nearest firehouse where it's safe.

Asking a few people for directions along the way she eventually made it to the nearest firehouse and looking up she noticed the big numbers on the front which read 118, that number seemed familiar but she couldn't remember where she saw it before, walking in she noticed that nobody was about so she sat down on one of the benches where they put on their boots and waited for them to get back.

She waiting for roughly half an hour until the engine and ambulance was reversed back into their places and the crew inside started to get out, Hen was the first to notice the little girl sat on the bench hugging her cat plushie while she stared at the fire truck in awe but before she could speak up Buck was already rushing over to the girl which confused the other's, they all stood and watched the interaction between the two only catching a little of what was said.

Buck)"[Y/N]? What are you doing here? I thought you and Maddy was going out today?"

"We were! I got sidetracked and lost sight of her, sorry daddy I didn't mean to get loose aunt Maddy"

Buck)"It's okay, long as your okay that's the main thing. Hey, I'm proud of you for remembering what I always tell you ok?"

A big smile slipped onto [Y/N]'s face before she jumped on Buck that he laughed at alittle as he wrapped his arms around underneath her so she didn't fall before walking over to his friends to introduce you to them, after all he saw them staring and whispering about what was going on so he might as well explain the situation to them although it'll be a shock to them.

Eddie)"Hey Buck, who's the kid?

Buck)"This is [Y/N] and [Y/N] this is the nice people that I told you about that I work with"

Hen)"Hey [Y/N] where's your parents? Did you get lost?"

"No, daddy's right here! And I may have wondered off from aunt Maddy"

[Y/N] explained as she hugged Buck around the neck alittle guilty she wondered off in the first place as she kept a tight grip on the arm of her plushie, so she didn't drop it, hearing what the little girl had said while she hugged Buck around his neck made them all look at one another a little shocked to hear the Playboy Evan Buckley had a kid.

Before anyone could question him about if this new information was true Buck got a call so he shifted his grip on [Y/N] so he could grab his phone from his pocket only to see that it was Maddy calling, answering the phone he was met straight away with her apologizes for loosing [Y/N] but after he explained that she had managed to made her way to the 118 Maddy calmed down relieved that [Y/N] was safe.

After telling him she was on her way to pick [Y/N] up Buck ended the call only then noticing that [Y/N] had dozed off on his shoulder which made him smile alittle, it was weird for the others to see Buck act, well, not like Buck. He was acting grown up, fatherly and mature which wasn't what he normally acted like when he's at work, he's more childish, showy and bubbly.

Chimney)"Since when did you have a kid? Why didn't you tell us?"

Buck)"I um I-It's only been me and [Y/N] since I was 18, I didn't even know she exist until she was left outside of the place, I was staying in at the time with a letter explaining everything. Maddy helped out whenever she could but because of Doug she couldn't do much as she was scared, he'll hurt [Y/N], so it's pretty much only been us all her life"

Hen)"Danm Buck, we had no idea. Now that we know just remember that we're here if you ever need anything okay?"

Eddie)"Yh, I'm sure Christopher would love another kid to play with, we've got you man"

Buck)"Thank you, really, it means a lot. I better go put her down upstairs until Maddy gets here"
