Chapter 2

A slam pf a car door the rushed footsteps was heard as Maddy Buckley can thundering into the firehouse all jittery with worry and nerves for her niece, seeing his panicking sister rush into the building buck quickly went over to her and calmed her down as he took her upstairs where [Y/N] was currently napping on the sofa.

Seeing the girl safe without a scratch on her all snuggled up with a big plushie cat meant Maddy could finally relax and breath, taking a seat at the end of the sofa that [Y/N] was laying on a smile slipped onto her face before looking over to her brother that also had a small smile on his face while he watched his daughter sleep completely carefree.

Maddy)"Again, I'm so sorry, I really am. One moment she was holding my hand then the next she was gone, I looked everywhere before I started to panic as I couldn't see her anywhere"

Buck)"Maddy it's okay, really. I really should of told you that she has a tendency to wondering off, that's why whenever we go out I put her on a leash even though she's 11 years old"

A chuckle slipped past Maddy's lips as she can actually imagine her brother doing that and the weird looks he must received from people, however it was obvious that Even Buckley would even trade the world for his daughter simply so she wouldn't get hurt such as the role of fatherhood.

Softly stroking a few strands of hair out of her face Maddy spotted the identical birthmark that her brother has on his forehead which made her smile even more, but the two Buckley siblings attention was brought to the bell that went off signalling that their was call for help, buck quickly ran down the stairs to go do his job while Maddy's calms down the startled girl which jolted awake because of the bell.

Once calmed down Maddy decided to take [Y/N] home so she texted buck to let him know what she was doing before the two girls left the station and headed home, once back home they caught up on watching their favourite show for the rest of the day then ordered in dinner, they both fell asleep on the sofa around 2 in the morning.

The soft click of the front door unlocking then in came buck all exhausted from his 24 hour shift only to be met with the scene of his sister and daughter still fast asleep on the sofa, empty pizza box on the coffee table and the TV still playing in the background, it was a very sweet scene to come home to and he was glad that the events of yesterday didn't get in the way of their girl's day.

After a well deserved shower, buck placed a blanket over the girl's then cleaned up the empty pizza box's and turned off the TV before himself went to get some much needed rest.

[Y/N] was the first one to wake up later on around midday so she carefully made her way upstairs then took a shower and changed into a comfortable hoody and sport's leggings, putting her hair up into a messy bun she then went back downstairs to start on making something to eat and once that was mostly done was when Maddy groggily woke up.

Giving her a cup of coffee Maddy thanked her niece before a plate of pancakes was placed infront of her, the sent of pancakes must of made it's way upstairs because 5 minutes later buck came down looking for whatever that smell was. Soon they all was sat down and eating their version of breakfast at midday, afterwards Maddy washed the dishes before she had to leave because she needed to get home change then get to work, hugging her brother and niece bye she then went out the door.
