- THE SUNSHINE IS BACK -
Maya's POV:
We're now inside the van and we are on our way to their house. It's already seven in the evening but I'm still with them. Tita Irene is beside me while Eya is sitting beside tita Imee.
"You okay? You're so quiet, Anak" Tita Irene stated. I looked at her and smiled lightly
"I'm okay po, tita. Is it masakit?" I asked innocently. She shook her head
"A bit but I'm fine, they are far from my intestine naman," She said and laugh, she looked so cute when she's laughing. Nawawala mga mata niya e, parang Koreana talaga.
"Can I l-lean on your shoulder?" She suddenly asked me, I shyly nodded my head. She leaned on my shoulder, just like she requested.
"You look cute, ate" Eya commended. They were at our backs kasi and of course, they could see us. I can't look back because Tita is on my shoulder, baka mahulog.
"Look cute ka dyan," I said to her. She giggled before showing me the picture that she took. It was me and tita Irene in our position right now. I absent-mindedly smiled, we look cute nga.
Without us noticing, we got home na pala. "Tita, we are here na po. Wake up na" I said and lightly tapped her shoulders. She groaned a little and slowly opened her eyes. "Oh...Thank you" she said.
We hopped out of the van and went directly into the living room.
"Maya, here ka na mag dinner" Tita Imee said to me. I was about to say no but tita Irene interjected, "We are not accepting a no, Maya" she conveyed. I sighed and nodded my head, "sige po" I answered. She smiled widely.
We stayed in the living room for a while before they decided to eat dinner. In the middle of our meal, my phone rang.
I checked it and it was mama. Oh gosh, 5 missed calls and 4 unread messages.
I excused myself from them and went out of the dining area. I am in their garden right now and I'm still calling my mama. She's not answering my calls and she's not responding to my text messages.
I'll try to call her again for the ninth time and for the last time and thank God, she answered.
[ Ma? Why are you calling? Is everything alright po?]
[Ah oo anak, okay lang lahat pero nandito ako sa dorm mo at bakit wala ka ditto? Anong oras na ah?]
[Eh nagkaroon po kasi ng aksidente kanina kaya nandito po ako kina Tita Irene. Dito na din po ako nag dinner, mama. Ano po pala ang ginagawa niyo dyan?]
[Ganon ba? Susunduin kita ha... May pinapaabot ang tita Kara mo sa'yo bago ako umuwi ng Pampanga.]
[Don't fetch me na po, I will make paalam na then I'll go home]
[Puntahan na lang kita dyan, anak. Delikado na kung ikaw lang mag-isa uuwi]
[Sige po, take care ma]
We bid our goodbye and I went back inside the house.
"Who's that, anak?" Tita Irene asked me when I settled myself.
"Si mama po tita, she will be here daw po kasi she will fetch me" I answered her. She looked at Tita Imee and Eya. They're like talking through their eyes.
"Then, you should finish your dinner na pala. Do you want to change your clothes? Eya bought some for you yesterday, naiwan mo" Tita Irene stated after she wiped the side of her lips.
