Going on his usual flying trip, Rory came across a weird sight that made him jump down to the sidewalk, stopping and staring at his best friend standing there, Benny standing behind her with a toothpick in his mouth. But something was wrong.
She was wearing a leather jacket. And her usual calming scent of caramel and iced coffee was replaced by a strong scent of sandalwood. The girl never changed her signature scent. The beige shade of lipstick that was always on her lips, replaced by a dark rosy red.
"Cam?" The boy questioned. "Are you sick?" He went to put his hand to her forehead, but it was quickly shoved off by her.
"Don't touch my face, you nasty demon rat." She gave him a disgusted look, flipping her hair before walking off in the direction of Ethan's house. The blonde just looked down at his hand that he tried to check her temperature with in shock. She never blew him off.
Once 'Benny' and 'Camille' reached the Morgan households front door, 'Benny' knocked on the door rhythmically before stepping back to stand beside the girl. Ethan's father opened the door, casting a puzzled expression.
"Benny? Cam? Where's the fire?" He asked, not understanding why they knocked on the door so impatiently.
"Maybe it will start in your garage, Frank." The boy replied.
"Who's Frank? My name's Ross." He let out a small laugh. "I thought you knew that?"
"Why would we care to remember?" Camille rudely asked, making the man even more confused.
"Debbie make pie tonight?"
"Who's Debbie?"
"Get us a pie..." Benny looked to Camille.
"Apple."
"Apple pie, will you, Frank?" Benny demanded. "Alert the boy."
Ross turned to go back into the house, stopping for just a second with his jaw hanging open before actually going in. "Ethan!" He called. "Benny and Cam are here! I think!"
Ethan walked up to the door, kinda shocked to see his friends on his porch. "Hey, Benny, you're here early." He turned to the girl. "And you're late. That's a first."
"But we're also not here at all." Benny whispered. "Give me a call home."
"You and your grandma change your voicemail message again?" The Morgan looked for his phone in his pocket. "I loved the one when you two did impressions of each other."
"Just call the damn number." Camille complained.
Ethan dialed the number, but not without glancing at the girl in bewilderment.
"You made me drop my books!" Camille complained, standing in the Weir's kitchen, refusing to let it go, even after ten minutes.
"It's just your chemistry book! You're amazing at chemistry!" Benny argued back. Sure it seemed stupid to fight over, but that's just what the two did. Fought over stupid stuff that they wouldn't even care about if it was anyone else who did it.
"It doesn't mean I don't need my books!"
"Rory can live!" The boy yelled, knowing she was gonna say that the blonde tended to forget his books. "He doesn't need-" he stopped when he heard his phone go off, letting out a sigh before answering it.
The Benny and Camille that stood on Ethan's porch sent the Morgan smirks, finding the boy's terrified look on his face amusing. They laughed, beginning to walk off, until the boy stopped them.
"Wait, what are you?" He asked.
"We're your best friends." Benny sent him a wicked grin, holding his hand out to him with he took, making his eyes go white and a vision appear in his mind.
