The last lesson was over, and as usual, Carmelita and Sujira left the auditorium together. They walked to the lockers to put their stuff away. Stuff that wouldn't be necessary to bring over with them at home for a day outside university. Carmelita turned the power of her phone on, and just after she turned it facing the screen down, a single notification pops up that causes a little bit of vibration. There's a single message icon plastered on the screen, written above is Peter.
"Sujira's got picked up by her dad, so I guess it's just really us."
"Is that so?"
"Yeah, they just messaged her" She heavily sigh. "How odd is that, right? At the time where you would finally meet each other face-to-face. Her parents do not usually pick her up in university. Well, it's her loss."
It's one of those days where Sujira would get pick up. It is not as often as they would usually take the tram and train to get home together.
"Another time"
"How are you by the way?" Carmelita looked at him. She sat across Peter which confuses the monarch. She stared back with confusion drawn across her face, and once she has realised the reason, a small awkward smile appeared on her lips as she moved over beside him.
They drove pass through buildings, cars, and public transports that takes people to Parkville.
"I was bored" Peter releases a sigh of relief. A sigh that is a sound of satisfaction, and a sigh which indicates how long of a day it has been for him. He feels a lot better now that it's over. Now that Carmelita's here however, the time is fast. In fact, it was so fast that they didn't notice themselves driving along the road beside the city coats.
The day continuously becomes hotter as the sun floats like a very round yolk in the sky, behind the thick and thin clouds as it's light dazzles the waters in the ocean like gold. The afternoon hits, and they found themselves exiting the city.
Their conversation never stops until they hit another red light. Perhaps because there's always something new to talk about in terms of Carmelita's everyday life in the university, and Pete could certainly relate. And as Carmelita looks towards her empty side, his eyes travelled from her heels, and up to her face which he found the most beautiful scenery. The one that is dazzling above all.
Their conversation was interrupted as Carmelita crosses her legs. Her left hand on top of her right, covering the front end of her skirt which Peter noticed. He clears his throat as he placed a thin blanket on-top of her limbs. "I have it all along." Peter smiles.
"Thank you."
The drive near the coast continues so swiftly. Since it is not the rush hour, time consumes them faster as they talk about random stuff in life and admire the free beautiful scenery of oceans the nature gives everyone. With every counting second that has worth out of this world. Both Carmelita and Peter found themselves getting lost together at the same golden oceans.
"I think we're getting close home." Peter tilts his head, looking at the wide scenery of local reserves.
Carmelita looked outside the window and found the surroundings somewhat familiar. She pulled the curtain to the side and realised. "Wow, good job, I see you've memorised the way to our house." She crosses her arms to her chest. "I don't think I should be surprised again since we drove to the same routes you most likely took to get to my house."
Laughter escapes from the monarch's mouth. It isn't the usual chuckles and giggles he does to her statements, but either way, he still looks as charming without any efforts doing so. In Carmelita's eyes, he's a very handsome prince, human being.
