"So...you both confessed to each other. Does it mean you are together?"

Peter was stunned by Carl's question. It has been a couple of days since his return in England, and he only discussed the matters with him and Carmelita to Carl.

It was not on his plans to confess to Carmelita during his trip, right then until he made up his mind at that very moment. Simply because he does not feel like it was the right time at first, and that it should be more than just four months, until he thought about how words are powerful in a relationship that Carmelita has all the rights to know about how he truly meant about their friendship. Carl has been enthusiastic about their journey that he broke the news to the prince of Manchester before he even asks questions about it.

"You think ahead of time. No, it wouldn't be as simple as that. We still have a lot of things to learn about each other, and we still have a lot of things to talk about. Carmelita never dated anyone before."

"It's not like you've been in a romantic relationship before." Carl said in a mocking way, like he has been engaged in that type of relationship. If he ever been into one, then he would have surely told Peter all about it, but he remembers none. "Or else you've had an amour with someone which I've never learnt of."

"Let's talk about experience, Carl." Peter picked the bowl of popcorn from the floor, which used to be a lot warmer before the film started.

"Do the honours." Carl teases the other prince with his look. His right thumb and index finger on his bottom lip which makes him look intimidating. The television screen's yellow light reflects on his eyes. He smirked at Peter before turning his head back.

Peter picked a few popcorns from the bowl, throwing those into his mouth as he stares at the screen. He has been feeling sleepy since they got into the middle where the actors just start talking boringly, but he couldn't get himself to tell his cousin about it since they never had the time watch film for a very long time.

"You wouldn't hear anything else from me than about Carmelita."

"Of course, what do I expect?" Carl almost mumbled up his words under his lips. Peter saw how he rolled his eyes which made him chuckle. The shadow on his forehead makes him even more intimidating while looking at the television.

"Carl, thank you." He placed the remote down on the centre table.

"Thank you for what?" Carl took the television remote, sliding it back after he turned the television off. Everything turned pitch black for a moment, until Peter felt the light switch on the wall. Everything becomes bright which made it hard for them to lift their heads up.

"Being the best listener. I appreciate you."

"I'll support you in every best way I can." Carl stood from the couch. Taking his coat, he looked to floor as the lights already overwhelm his eyes. His sleepiness seems to have disappear as he fixes the wrinkles on his sleeve.

Not too long after Peter arrived in London from university when the prince and princess of Oxfordshire left for Wales with their entourage, and he coincidentally met with Carl whilst walking down the hallway. Their conversation brought them up to this hall, until they decided to watch that film. But now, it is already midnight, and the night starts getting colder without a fireplace somewhere around.

Carl walks toward Peter. The light still overwhelms his eyes.

"We must awake early and get ready for Windsor. I will await you in the hall, where your majesty will be."

"I will meet you on the hall as said."

They walk down the hall without cautiousness of being seen. It was not so much of a secret that they were by the hall just then. In fact, almost every royal staff they come across so far knew that they were in there. Unlike royal staffs who are still awake to prepare for tomorrow at this hour, the rest of the royals in Westminster have already been sleeping since nine hits.
