The rest of the monarchy starts to leave the hall. The only one left is the heir prince of Oxford, Prince Peter, the fifth in in the line of succession. The media outside had a glimpse inside the palace as the doors quickly opened. With him are the royal household staffs. The royal guards, assistants, secretary of the heir, and others. All that's her majesty trusts for one of her grandsons.
He turns to his major assistant, the one who had been with him the longest. He tells him a lot about his concerns. The royal assistant who had known the prince well since his childhood "How was the last country of commonwealth I had visited?" They start to walk along the hall.
"They were delighted and would look forward to the next dinner with your highness"
"I wouldn't be able to visit for a couple of years, unless my grandmother, the queen would so, then I might be there to accompany her..." He couldn't even push back the curls that covers his forehead and eyes since the crown on-top of his head enables him to do so "To where is the next?" He asked in-between silence but sharp click of their footsteps of the shiny leather shoes on the palace grounds.
"To Australia, your highness" His assistant informed.
"I am assuming it's now?" Peter chuckled "Where is my dear cousin? I had been told to look after him" He turned his head around the hallway, searching around for the presence of his cousin, the heir of Manchester, Prince Carl.
His hairs had grown longer, poking his eyes that blurs his vision. The staffs of the royal household looked at each other as they also search for the missing prince. Peter had thought all along that Carl was there next to him, but perhaps he isn't after all. The prince's assistant tends to him "Your highness, two heirs are not to travel together"
"Aren't we both heading to Oceania?" Peter turned to them. Any successors are not supposed to travel within the same transportation and Peter himself had always known this all along. He wasn't surprised that his very own assistant would remind him that but rather that he misses the Prince of Manchester after their long separation due to trips.
"Yes, but the protocol has to be followed to secure the throne and your country, your highness"
"Of course, shall we go now?" Australia is one of the countries that makes up the commonwealth. And today, he would be visiting the state of Victoria while Carl visits Auckland in New Zealand. He just previously been in Canada, but the same protocol was applied for security. No heirs to the throne travelled the same plane.
Within the last three years was his first and last visit in Australia, and now, he would be coming back at twenty years of age. Three years apart since he was seventeen, but he is with the rest of the monarchy during that trip. That was his uncle and aunt that just left England for a trip in Scotland. He came back to the hall where the queen is.
Everyone in the hall were astonished by the arrival of the prince, with a smile plastered on his face as soon as he saw his grandmother, her majesty the queen. He greeted her with a few people of the media in the room. The ones that made reports of him on the news while at the airport.
"Grannie..." He kissed his grandmother on the cheek.
The royal children rushed to him, his nieces. He didn't care so much about the three cameras taking them photos. He stood at the background along with the other royals and household staffs.
"I am leaving for Australia tonight"
"Of course, have you got your entourages?"
"Yes, and they are all waiting for me at the airport"
"You should change before you travel, where is your cousin?"
He chuckled as he has the same thoughts in mind "I think your amazing grandson is changing grannie as he's always late" Carl of Manchester is taking a long time, though they never travel within the same plane, he still waits for this before they part their ways.
