As soon as the VW bug came to a stop, Regina immediately swung the creaky door open and leapt from the vehicle. Practically running to open the door, which had already been replaced, she found it was locked and thanked whoever was looking over her family that Henry had the common sense to lock it when he got in.

Swinging the white-washed wooden door she promptly shouted, ignoring her no shouting rule "Henry?! Where are you?!" She disregarded the soft sound of the door clicking shut as Emma followed her into the large house.

Henry appeared from her massive study, "I'm right here, mom." He said with new tears falling from his green eyes.

Regina rushed over to her son, pulling him into a tight embrace as he began crying heavily. Emma walked around to join in the tender moment and tightly hugged him and the other woman. Regina released her hold on her son as Emma removed her arms from around the most important people in her life then the brunette suggested, "How about we go back into my study and talk, okay?"

"I'm gonna call David and remind him to call the search off." Emma announced quietly, making sure the brunette could read the reassurance in jade pools. Regina glanced back at her as Henry and she strolled to the massive study nodding to acknowledge that she heard the sheriff.

Walking slowly towards Regina's study, Emma quickly thanked her dad, saying, "Thanks dad, I'll call you later when Regina and I finish talking to Henry. Bye."

The blonde had barely gotten through the threshold of the room when Henry had barreled into her, almost knocking her off her feet. "Oof!" She managed to keep upright and threaded her fingers through his light brown hair. "Hen, are you ready to tell us what happened, or are we just gonna have to guess, huh?" She said as she held him at arm's length.

She slowly walked him over to the dark brown leather couch, which fit with the study's decor of dark mahogany shelves built into the walls with a large matching desk in front of a massive picture window. She sat with the boy between Regina and herself. "So, tell us what happened, from the beginning. Firstly, what possessed you to leave in the middle of the night, Henry?" The brunette questioned, trying to remain calm.

With his head hung low, not looking at either of his mothers, he began relaying his journey. "Well, I heard you guys talking, and I wanted to help find out who was doing whatever they're doing to hurt you, mom. I figured that they would be watching you, seeing as you," he said, looking up from the floor to his biological mom, "said that we should stay with you. So, I snuck out and started walking, figuring that whoever it was would see me, and I thought that they would follow me, and I'd be able to see them and recognize who it is." Hanging his head down once more, tears began welling up in hazel eyes for the second time as he continued, "All of a sudden, someone threw a bag over my head and drug me to a car or van, I don't know which one." His voice trembled then he began softly crying, unable to go on.

Regina rubbed her tan hands over his back as Emma held one of his slightly smaller hands. "Henry, it's okay. You don't have to tell us everything right now. Whenever you're ready, we'll be right here to listen, alright?"

Emma nodded her head agreeing with the other woman. "I think we should get some more of your clothes, both of you, and go back to my house."

Once they were back at Emma's, they agreed without a shadow of a doubt that Henry was to skip school until they found the culprit, or culprits, who were harassing their small 'family'.

The three of them sat on the cushy couch. Regina kept rubbing soothing circles on her son's back as his light brown hair rested on Emma's shoulder while the blonde ran her fingers through his soft locks. "Henry, sweetie, you should go take a nap." His adoptive mother suggests with love sparkling in her deep brown eyes.

"She's right, kid, you probably didn't sleep last night, and with this whole ordeal, you need it. We'll be right here when you wake up, okay?" The sheriff agreed with the same love glimmering in her own jade eyes.

The boy doesn't say anything, simply nodding and dragging his slender frame off the couch. Trudging towards the staircase, he began to climb before turning back, saying, "Moms..... thank you so much, I love you guys." Tears emerged, falling freely down his pale cheeks as he continued his trek up to his room.

By the time Henry wandered wearily up to his room, it was late afternoon, and his parents were both on their phones animatedly talking to their respective offices.

It was 2:30 in the afternoon, and Regina was talking with her secretary, Sophie. "I'm still working from home, so I need you to postpone any meetings I have until further notice." There was a long pause, continued with, "No, you don't have to stay until the end of the day. Just make sure you cancel those appointments then you can go." Another extended silence, "Yes, you'll get paid for the full day, all right, thank you so much, and have a great rest of your day."  After hanging up, Regina carded a slender hand through dark tresses and leaned back on Emma's couch, waiting for her to finish her call with her eyes closed. She slowly drifted off to sleep, the taxing day taking its toll.

"Regina?" The brunette felt a warm hand on her shoulder, then the hand began threading through her soft tresses. She opened her gorgeous deep chocolate eyes and looked up at the stunning green-eyed blonde next to her and smiled. "Regina, you want to go upstairs and finish your nap?"

She nodded her head slightly and said in her sleep-laced voice, "Are you going to come with me?" Dark chocolate pools begged.

"I will if you want me to."

The blonde grunted a little as she wrenched herself off of the furniture turning as she offered her lightly calloused slender hand to the mayor, then helped pull her from the couch. A sleepy-eyed Regina gazed at Emma and wrapped her toned arms around the blonde's muscular body, laying her head on her shoulder, and sighed heavily.

"We'll find whoever is harassing you, Regina. I'll put them away if it's the last thing I do, I promise." Emma reassured as she threaded her fingers through dark tresses once more, unable to resist feeling the silky softness.

Nodding, barely discernible, Regina answered softly with honesty laced in her tone, "I know, Emma, I know."

They strolled, hand in hand, up the mountainous staircase and headed for the blonde's bedroom only stopping to peek in at their son who was fast asleep before continuing to their destination.

As soon as they entered Emma's bedroom, Regina unceremoniously flung herself down on the bed on her back to the amusement of the sheriff. "Comfy?" She inquired as she stood watching the mayor, playfulness evident in her tone.

As a yawn started escaping from plump lips, Regina answered, "Just exhausted from the day's events thus far."  Rearranging her lithe form on the bed, the brunette patted the other side, signaling for the blonde to join her.

Emma wandered over to the opposite side of the bed and gently climbed in, pulling the light blanket over their still clothed forms. Regina curled into the blonde's body and laid her arm across her abdomen just below her breasts. Emma sighed, content in the closeness of the mayor, and placed her hand on the other woman's hand.  As a smile made itself known on the latter woman's face, Emma's eyes drooped closed as she dreamed of the possibility of a life together with the two most important people in her life.
