SUNDAY MORNING, THE FIRST WEEK OF APRIL 2023
.
To strike back at Derrick, Curtis decided to put Jharrell's business out on the street, but he waited until more of his pay-to-view money came in. He went to the rental office and got a single bedroom apartment in the same complex as Jharrell and Tyson. Jharrell was happy that he wouldn't have to be around Curtis anymore than he needed to be if at all. And Tyson was happy that Curtis wouldn't be around him or Jharrell.
Now the last thing Curtis wanted to get was a car. He had enough money to buy a descent used car. Asking his sister to come with him, Curtis went to CarMax of Freeport to look at the Dodge Chargers or the Chevy Camaros.

Mercedes: [looking at the window stickers] ... This $45,000! You crazy or something? [looking at the bright red 2019 Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack]
... And that's not even including the taxes and fees and title and plates. That's probably gonna end paying another $5,000 on toppa that.
Curtis: [sucking his teeth] ... Yeah, but I know I can't afford now Scat Pack ... Back or whatever. I want a GT but a SXT is cool too.
Mercedes: [relieved that Curtis wasn't trying to outspend his wallet] ... Oh, cause I thought you was gonna be tryna ask me to co-sign. You know all our credit bad. Mom done used our social security number to buy shit before we could walk. [laughs]
... I'm just playing. You know everybody in Sanderson got bad credit. That's why we live there. [looks at the car Curtis was eyeing]
... How much is that?
Curtis: 28!
