*Alvah's Pov*
It's been a few hours since everything happened. I'm in the guest room resting. Everyone else is in the living room talking I guess, I don't know. I've been looking up at the ceiling for a while now. What Lismery said keeps replaying in my head.
'Where would I go?'
'Where would I go?'
'Where would I go?'
*Knock knock*
"Come in"
"Hey Alvah" Lismery smiled at me.
"Hey Lismery" I smiled back.
"How are you feeling?" she asked sitting on the bed next to me.
"Feeling better" I answered.
"That's good. Are you fully calm now?" she asked.
"I am" I smiled.
"Good. Now we can get to know each other more" she smiled. She was excited.
"Looks like you're excited" I chuckled.
"Sorry" she looked down.
"No no it's okay. It's cute" she looked at me and smiled.
I smiled back at her. I couldn't help but look at her. I looked into her eyes and saw me. I thought that was weird, but I looked deeper, and it hit me. We are the same. You might think how or why, and honestly, I'm not sure, But I can feel and see it. It's not bad though; I don't feel or see it in a bad way.
Alvah
Alvah
I snapped out of my thoughts.
"Hm"
"Yeah, sorry I- umm" I didn't know what to say.
"You don't have to say anything" she smiled again.
"You have such a perfect smile" I looked down at her lips and back at her eyes. She blushed.
"You're making me shy" she giggled.
"That's good. At least I know I can make you shy or smile" I told her.
"Were you scared you wouldn't?" she asked.
"Honestly yeah I was" I quietly chuckled.
"Well, you do make me smile. You can do anything, and it will make me smile" she smiled once again.
"Okay stop smiling, you're going to make me fall in love with it" I smiled and looked away.
"Then I'll continue smiling" and she did, she did continued smiling and i love it.
'Okay stop smiling, you're going to kill me" I laughed.
"Okay well tell me about you. What do you like?" she asked.
"Well, I like reading-"
"Wait hold up" I stopped talking and looked at her.
"You...like to read"?" she questioned.
"Yeah...is that weird?" I asked.
"I mean a little. You don't seem like the type of person to read" she was a bit confused.
"Well, I do read. The group all have books for me to read because they know how much I love to read" I smiled at the thought of my friends knowing how much I love to read.
"Well, I would love to read some of your favorite books" she smiled.
"Of course. I'll make sure to make you a list" I smiled back.
"What else do you like?" she asked.
"Research. I love doing research" I laughed.
"Research?" she looked at me a bit confused.
"Yes research. Everything about it" I said.
"What was the last thing you research?" she asked.
"BPD" no hesitation.
"BPD?" she questioned what it was.
"Borderline Personality Disorder" I answered.
"I think I have to read your research" she laughed.
"I'll led it to you tomorrow" I told her.
"Can't wait" she said.
"It's going to be a lot to read"
"Oh come on how bad could it be?" she asked.
"Over 20 pages" I looked at her.
"Over 20 pages! What the fuck! Hell nah. That's too much"
All I could do is laugh.
"That is not funny. It's over 20 pages" she whined.
"You'll be fine. I'll make sure to tell you the page numbers, so you don't have to read everything" I said.
"Really?" she asked.
"Yes really, I'm not going to make you go through all that"
"Thank you thank you" she hugged me. Of course, I hugged back.
Knock knock
We both looked at the door then looked at each other. We pulled away from the hug.
"Come in" I said.
"Hey Alvah" Erika peeked her head in.
"Hey Erika. What's up" I chucked.
"Oh nothing I- umm" she was struggling to speak.
"What's wrong Erika?' I said in a worried tone.
"No nothing. I was just wondering if you know...wanted to read" she said.
"Should that even be a question?"
"What book?" I was excited.
"As Good as Dead by Holly Jackson" she said.
"I've been wanted that book" I said.
"Yeah, I know that's why I ordered it. I also ordered two more books, but they haven't got here yet"
"Give me" I said grabby hands.
She handed me the book and I was going to start reading it. I laid back on the bed and started reading.
"Wow, you weren't joking when you said you like to read" Lismery laughed.
"Like? They love it" Erika laughed with her.
"I see that"
"What's the book they're reading?" Lismery asked.
"As Good as Dead, it's the last book of a series" Erika answered.
"Why the last book?" Lismery asked.
"They already read the other two books" Erika said unfazed.
"Of course they did" she laughed.
"Are y'all going to keep making fun of me?" I asked still reading.
"Okay okay, we'll stop" they laughed and Erika left.
"Are you going to read the rest of the day?" Lismery asked.
"No I was just going to read a bit, then give you my whole attention" I closed the book.
"Give me your whole attention?" she blushed.
"Yes, give you my whole attention" I smiled at her.
"So, what do you like, Lis?" I asked still smiling.
Then I saw her beautiful smile.
